Does anyone else find this very racist? Imagine if after the OJ acquittal the president would've said "Ronald Goldman could have been me when I was younger" or "Nicole Brown could've been my daughter"? It's even worse because Ron and Nicole didn't attack OJ and the evidence of OJ committing the crime was overwhelming.

Lmao.

So its racist to have an open dialogue about race?

Its racist for the president to say the country has been getting better over the years? Its racist for him to say we as Americans need to come together? Its racist to address the nation and make sure there is no violence during tomorrows protests? Its racist for the leader of our country to address the obvious racial division thats present in our nation and seek for us to unite?

Or were you guys merely annoyed that he tried to help non-black Americans understand why African Americans have the feelings they do when it comes to situations like the Trayvon Martin case?

How about you guys listen to everything Mr. Obama said. Seems to me that he tried to create understanding and also tell Americans to come together. Theres a racial divide in this country, and ignoring it wont fix anything. The racial divide existed before Trayvon, it existed before Obama was elected, and itll exist after he leaves office. Theres no reason all Americans shouldnt have open and mature dialogue about these things. We cant move forward if we dont talk about this stuff with understanding. Ignoring our reality wont make things better.

Simply wanting people to shut up about race wont mean that racial issues will go away in our country. They have to be addressed head on for us to get anywhere.

There's nothing "open and mature" about the rioting and the media hyped case here that caused it. It wasn't the business of the President of the USA to interject himself into this case from the beginning. And of course he is milking it now with the DOJ investigation to cover up the mass criminality in his administration via NSA spy grid, Libya, Syria etc.
Rioting? The VAST VAST majority of protests have been very peaceful. Sure the media hyped the case, but the media also made sure that the courts did their job like they should have from the get-go.

No matter what you say, race is a huge issue in this nation. And because of that, and because of the racial division that came from electing Obama, I dont see why our national leader shouldnt address this stuff and try and spring forth unity. Hes not the first, nor will he be the last president to say important stuff about social issues. Him keeping silent wont help us move forward together as a nation.

People wanted Kennedy and LBJ to shut up when they opened their mouth regarding race issues, and those two presidents are seen as two big bringers of good change to this nation's racial issue.

The president is not trying to cover anything up. Hes rightfully addressing an important issue in the United States.

Like I said. People were giving him crap for being silent, and theyll give him crap for speaking up.

Source?

Besides even if that was true you would see an increase with white working class votes on par with chicks and minorities for this inept rockstar. You don't.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

So stimulus package you reckon? What like a boost for the white working class to cover his bad credit loans, single mother loans and 32% increase in welfare spending?

And they're not praising him in gratitude? Get outta here.

Yeah, lets forget a guy name bush who came before him right?

Ah The go-to rebuttal for self awareness lacking leftards as we spin even faster down the toilet. I bet they'll be teaching the "Bush defense" in public schools before we know it. What a joke.

Jaylan, it's OK for the president to talk about race when it comes up.

But the trouble is, Zimmerman case was (and factually is) never about race.

Putting make-up on a donkey won't make it a horse.

If this was a proper example; talk about OJ getting away with murder for instance,

race could've been properly discussed.

We need to talk about race, murders in Chicago ghettos, white guilt, men's rights, but we need to prioritize and we have to be honest with ourselves.

Zimmerman case isn't a clear-cut example where it's appropriate to brainstorm on race, but maybe self-defense or gun rights, perhaps?

I am not sure, it just isn't the right example ; and it is sad that the president is buying into all the crappy media hype and making statements like

Trayvon could be him...

Well, Trayvon could be a WHITE GUY TOO , but the trouble is NONE OF US WOULD EVEN HEAR ABOUT IT, because it wouldn't be

manufactured to be a RACIAL ISSUE...

It would be in a police beat on a local newspaper nobody would even care to read.

The way I see it, Obama is really saying two things that are not true and are racial favoritism. First, Obama's suggesting that Trayvon was not killed by George in self-defense. So Trayvon was not in the wrong, George, the jury and the entire US society was. Second, he is saying someone who was actually a black thug, never-do-well is instead just a promising youth and the next potential President of United States!

In other words, no accountability or blame for poor conduct and behavior if you're black. And also, society (non-blacks) is to blame for anything non-advantageous that happens to a black person. Solution? Ignore a black person's substandard behavior and conduct and reward them in lieu of and at the expense of others who are not a member of the favored race! That's racism and that's been the agenda for many years now.
