I really have never had results just because of my car. I drive a 98 Camaro 5-speed with t-tops, navy blue metallic and I've had mixed results. A few girls wanted to jump my bone because of the car, but most really didn't care about it. Granted I never brought it up until I went to pick them up in it.

I still pulled a lot of girls when I drove a red 93 Oldsmobile. The car is icing on the cake.

But then again, you drive a mustang, which is basically a boat with a v8, so I guess you don't worry much about that stuff.
(Don't try to deny it. Mustangs are big and soft sprung. again, not a bad thing, its just the way they are.)
Big Eee Zee, why u hating so much? Anyone of these cars are better than some pos old bmw, in which you claim to have mods in.. that are probably ridiculous and pointless. Don't hate just because u can't get anything better bro.

Fair enough. I agree with what most of the guys said. As long as you car is comfortable, clean and doesn't smoke/rattle etc it is fine. Frankly, I think it would be better to have something modest yet comfortable than having a lexus/mercedes as far as LTRs go, but for picking up girls it is probably better to have something flashy and expensive. Just remember that those cars WILL attract the wrong kinds of girls (although, sometimes the wrong kinds of girls can be a lot of fun :D)

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
Don't even talk about it. Let 'em find out in due time.

It's like basketball coaches tell their players when they get to the Final Four: "Act like you've been there." If you keep talking up your car in front of everyone, it's the same as saying, "I have this car, please like me solely based on that because I don't have much else going on."

If you just let people casually discover it, it's like you're USED to driving "sick whips", which makes you seem that much more cool. ;)

Since my last reply wasn't read (or I wouldn't have had to delete 7+ posts just now relating to everything from insurance rates to pictures of speedos going 120), I'll post it again. If the conversation turns into more car talk, the thread will be closed (since apparently it will have outlived it's function...)

I just copped an extremely beautiful 68' impala. Its fresh.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

"I have a 2003 svt cobra and I always have comments from chicks...just the other day i had girls hollering "Please fvck me tonight!" and a sh!t load of other comments."

Seriouly? This must be regional thing, I've owned a Viper for almost 6-years now (bought it when I go my first job out of college) and I can't think of more than a handful of times that I've gotten any female approaches even close to that magnitude! This particular topic has come up a number of times before and I still don't see why a slick, expensive ride would reel in girls with any sort of predictability. If my car doesn't, how's a dime-a-dozen Mustang or WRX work? Rubbish.

Dude, old school muscle cars are money. I wish I had the money to pimp a first gen Camaro. That would be the sex.

Old car versus New car

On occassion I have picked up my date in my 1994 Dodge Caravan instead of my cherry-red 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. I do this as a test, the same way I take her to a cheaper family restaurant than to an expensive five-star restaurant.

I have mentioned this before in a similar thread. Guys think I would be crazy to do this, thinking in terms of a one-night stand. But I think in terms of discovering girlfriend material.

Thank you, someone agrees with me! Honestly, like I said, cars really don't matter in picking up girls. I think you should drive exactly what you want. If you like your car, you will be happier in it, and If you're happier you will be more confident. More confidence=more success.

@PRL-Very nice dude. Muscle cars are sick sh|t. I would get one if I had time for a resto.

Design... mainly mechanical devotions. I worked for a communications cable installer (data, voice, fiber optic, security, etc.) as a system designer/engineer/estimator at the time I bought the Viper (which was recently sold and replaced by a Lotus Elise). At the moment, I work for a swimming pool builder where I draft up and put together the engineered construction/permitting plans for high end (i.e., mainly rich fvckers back yard pools and resort/commerical-type stuff) pools, fountains, water features, etc.

Something that guys with nice cars overlook is someting called "living within your means." I know guys that bite off more than they can chew just to have what they think will be a "puzzy magnet" of a car. Insurance is higher on a nicer car, and, if you genuinely have to struggle to pay for everything, the gig is up when you get back to your pad and the chick realizes you live in a dump with no furniture and nothing in the fridge. My CRX was paid for 10 years ago, still goes over 160 and still gets 44 mpg with 297k on it. Yes, I did the mods myself. Yes, it's old. No, it doesn't get me laid. I don't need it to. I friggin' love that thing. It is wicked-fun to drive, is cheap in all regards to own, and it's a diabolical sleeper that drops jaws. Do I care if chicks like it? No, in fact, they hate riding in it - the stiff suspension makes their t!tties jiggle and hurt. Too bad.

Another thing: If a chick sees it, so do the cops. And you WILL get profiled.

young guy + hot car = on the side of the road getting tickets

No? I've been rolled for:

no front plate
window tint too dark
exhaust too loud (Greddy)
suspicious driving (passing through a small town)
"innadequate tread depth" (tires spun in the rain, tread fine)
"lights too bright" (stock lights)
"your car fits the description of..."
"blatent display of horsepower" (???? Pulled out into traffic, tire chirped around corner...."eep")
"reckless driving" (wasn't, I was dodging a guy switching lanes who didn't see me)
"drag racing" (wasn't, just pulled off the line like normal)
"cruising" (wasn't, just dropping off a movie)

Blatent excuses to pull me over with nothing to do with "safety on the roadways".

Of course, the extend will vary based on the region. In the south and west it's not so bad, but in the midwest... cops are super harsh on the "fast and furious" type rides.

Well here we go-I'm 18 and I have a 2002 red Trans Am.
I've made every payment on her myself and I've had her for about a year now. I def get looks from a lot of people especially girls. I've even had girls pull up beside me and say stuff like nice car or whatever. At first it was cool but I def dont use it to get girls. I dont even mention my car when I'm talkin to them. A nice car will get you looks but it sure as hell wont get you the girl-thats your job. It can only take you so far and its up to you to take it the rest of the way.

2004 AMG MB CL 65.

I never talk about it. It is for my fun and those that get to ride with me.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.
