There has got to be some middle ground with cars. Try to sling some hot-totty from Tiffany's in a '99 Chevy S-10, and you're likely to have a hard time. Look to pick up a more down to earth girl in a Murcie, and she's probably going to roll her eyes at you.

The condition of your car means more than anything. Keep it minty fresh inside, wash it twice a month, keep a good shine on the paint and leather, and it won't matter as much that it's a '95 Jetta.

I do know of one car that gets everybody though. The rich-b!tches get wet over it, the hippie girls even like it, hell, kids in middle school comment on it at stoplights. It's nice and elegant enough to impress the snobby, but not so flashy that it turns off the rest. There's nobody that doesn't like this car. :D

I have a bright red 350Z with aftermarket HID's. The car gets a LOT, and i mean a LOT of attention. I get a LOT of looks and strangers (of all ages and genders) compliment me on it all the time. That being said, i have no idea how useful it is for picking up chicks, as i just got out of a long relationship. I'll report back very soon :)

man, you can tell we're at different ends of the age ladder.

a 19 yr old getting a car like that as a pvssy strategy. think about that. take your monthy payment, insurance, gas and divide by the number of chicks you nail in a month. that's your pvssy cost.

i'd say get a decent enough car for transport, if you need it, get the education, sock away as much $$$ as you can and learn to invest, learn how to run a business or get a career.

financial freedom is worth more than pvssy -- you can get that by other means, but financial freedom you generally can't

still, at 19 you can't knock getting as much as you can. all the same, if you had to handicap it, how much of it is the car getting it for you and how much of it is you? it can't be 100 to 0.

chicks come and go, i'd try to keep the money.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I buy my cars (like the M5 pictured) for me. I like going fast, I like carving corners, I like the shocked looks on Mustang Cobra owner's faces when a family sedan is passing them. I like my RX-7 because it peels my face off around the corners. It's just a cool side-effect that some chicks really like them. To me, cars are not transportation, but neither are they to impress girls.

ah - to each his own! LOL. i used to drive wild when i was a courier and your day's take depended on knocking off tags (and one gets so bored after awhile). dunno what happened --age, maybe, or I saw one too many bodies stretched out on the highway. now i drive nice - or nice enough.

i don't mind a nice ride, i do mind the cost.

one rule i won't budge on: stick shift. there's just no real excuse for an automatic, imho, not like it's a real car or something...
