s money..

haha I got the 05 STi in blue with silver rims.. haven't modded it yet, no real need to at this point.. 2.5Liter Turbocharged, 300 HP stock works for me.. it is fun to shift and listen to the sound.. i luv when you rev past about 5,500 and that turbo kicks in.. PRICELESS lol..

big eee zee,

guess you havent driven an STi yet!!! no offense to bimmers or anything but the STi is about as good as it gets for $34,000 out the door, you have to drive it to understand, thats all I will say!!!

I think a nice car doesn't so much help you get girls as much as it helps out your confidence overall. some girls are gold diggers but you can usually pick them out pretty easily.

I usually tell people what I drive cause its mine and I work my a$$ off to drive it so why not??

it definitely doesn't hurt to drive a nice car!!

driven in one, driven one myself.

they're fast, but d.amn if they dont have a fat-@ss. they're so heavy! and you feel all discaonnected from the road.

Well, that may be all japanese cars, not just subaru. I guess those crafty germans spoiled me.

SurfsupinHawaii...

amen bro.. no1 can really understand us, until they have one of their own.. mine has the gold stock rims, im thinking about getting new ones for this summer though.

i am a bit lucky, because my grandmother purchased it for me last year for my birthday.. but i do work and i do pay for my insurance and gas. so for who wanetd to know how old I am.. i'm 18, hitting up college this fall.

Yes and it's amazing to shift, espcially when it echoes.. because the blow-off valve on the Sti is quite amazing. Plus my exhaust enhances it like no other... when my car is idle.. it sounds like a train, no joke. not to mention when i speed up.

oh yeah, if anyone is interested in buy an STi, wait till the 2006 model, it'll have 320 bhp and a few other nifty things.. but reg sti's have 300 bhp stock.. mine's running at about 350 right now.

OK.

I've driven an STI myself. I think they are loaded down with extraneous BS and luxury items they don't need, causing the car to feel very heavy in the turns. An experienced driver can immediately tell when a car is heavy regardless of what it looks like by driving it. My car is far lighter than an STI and I can definately tell when I drove the STI that it was a much bigger car. It's not a problem unless your a very good driver and try to push the car (like around turns).
Also, there is no feedback from the wheel or pedals, no vibration or nothing. I like to feel the road through my hands and feet, not just the seat of my pants. It's a fine car, it just doesn't have the qualities that make certain particular cars "stand out", even if they're slower or less expensive. I'm not dissing STIs, they're great cars and if you enjoy driving it, thats all that counts. They're hella fast. There's just too much car to hustle around a turn for my tastes. It doesn't really matter, unless you're a real good driver (preformance wise) and really try to see how well it preforms, you'll never notice it.

big eee zee,

thats the best part, being confident in taking a hairpin turn at 70 MPH in the rain and you know your fine because the car handles EXACTLY the same that it does on dry ground and you also know that the automatic differential will give the power where it is needed and you may drift slightly but your car will not spin out.. the car accelerates from 20MPH-150MPH with the same feel, there is no let off whatsoever.. I have maxed mine out at 140ish.. also you said you cant feel it?? dude that car has the stiffest suspension i have ever felt, you feel EVERYTHING!!! I dont think luxury when I think of the STi, I think strictly performance and a fun car to drive if you like pushing the envelope..

s money,

u got the 04 rite? did you have to put in your own sound system? heard the 04 came stripped to make it as lightweight as possible.. what have you maxed yours out at? but yeah man no one can understand until they drive it.. it is AWESOME..I seriously make any excuse just to drive my car, even if its only in third gear its still super cool to drive around in it..

any DJ's have the Lancer EVO? not the Rally Art OZ one.. the Evolution VIII or the MR?? if so how is it?

yeah 04, when i ordered mine from the dealership they asked me if I wanted a 6 disc cd player added and i was like sure, yeah it cost an extra 600.. but the music is needed. this one time i was going down the highway at 155 in 6th gear, it felt like i was about to take off into the air haha.. the speedometer goes up to 160 on mine, so i guess you can push it to like 170, but that could cause some heavy damage to the engine so I wouldnt suggest it.

yeah and I also don't think of this car as luxary.. it's basically a street legal race car.. that's what it is, and that's why I wanted it.
When i launch it from a stop, it basically pumps my adrenaline the same way as a rollercoaster would.. it's an amazing feeling.. yeah it takes sometime to adjust to it, and to learn when and how to shift for the proper boost, but I like to consider that bonding time with the car haha. Also, it handles really well, like if i make sharp turns, etc.. i have no probs.. so i dunno what you're sayng about it being too heavy? but i see no probs.

im just curious, surfsup, what u doing for aliving to pull the cost of this car? i couldnt do it, unless i was living with my parents if I had to by the car on my own, or unless i had some amazingly high paying job.. i kind of lucked out that my grandparents are so generous.

I never tell my potentials about my car...I have a Bright red 2001 Mustang Cobra...Its like showboating...it makes you seem snobby and stuck up...just not the way I like things going...plus if she is a gold digger your definately going to see dollar signs spinning in her eyes if you start bragging about a expensive car.

94 Twin Turbo Supra here. It helps, like how clothes make you stand out.

Its not my daily driver. Hard to be with a lead foot and the way 93 oct cost these days. I found myself getting a lot of attention from the younger crowd and five-dank(police), damn F&F.

I've had it in what seems like forever and when I bought it, there was no thoughts on how girls react. Mine were of flying.

I would metion nothing of it and don't unless asked.

Girls get scared when they ride with me, and that is just accelerating straight.

Some girls will think 'oh, i bet he thinks he is kewl' .. but if ARE kewl, look out! You'll have those heads turning and those panties getting wet :D

My x said when she saw me driving around in my car with the shades made her so hot! So guess it does have advantages.

Yeah, they get scared too when i accelerate just going straight. The only other feeling i get like that is when taking off in a 747 .. lol. It puts you back into the seat and fast .. can't even have an open pop up front .. ends up all over the back seat when giving her the gas.

s money,

I'm a medic in the ARMY.. I'm assigned to Tripler Army Med Center in Hawaii right now. I work in the Emergency Room..

I wouldnt say I make a killing but it is nice to have a steady income and a free place to live. right now I'm a Spec-4 or Specialist, after taxes and the extra $ for food and cost of living allowance I brink home about 875 every two weeks... my only expenses are Road Runner, Car, Insurance, and whatever I wanna buy.. I live pretty cheap though, just workout a lot and surf when I can...

I'm outta here in Aug 06 and wherever I go from here, Im pretty sure I'll be going to the sandbox but thats ok.. single soldiers are comming back with 25,000 in the bank.. pretty crazy, married people are making almost double that..

but yea I feel I;m gonna lift off at 125ish haha, cant imagine 155.. I probably wont take it that high out here, waiting to get it back to the mainland..

Ya I have a 2-seat high performance sports car. When meeting a girl for the first time I'll never mention it.

When I take her out on a date you'll see her eyes grow to the size of balloons the first time she sees it and I think psychologically this increases her attraction level for me. My job that night just became 10x easier.

yaaa, well my NEON, is 10x better then any of your cars.

I don't have to worry about getting stains on my back seat ever.:D

Actually gurls don't really like guys that drive too fast. Having a nice car poves your status. Makes her feel like your a go-getter.

Yep, the girl I'm with now dislikes speeding but absolutely loves my car and enjoys the extra attention from the public when we're driving around. I tell her they are looking at her, not the car.

The type of car a guy decides to buy can say a lot about the type of personality and style he has.

What're you thinking?!?
you want comments from chicks and stares? A burnout in my car is going to gather 10 times more attention than a blow off valve noise. Besides, if you were an actual preformance driver, you would realize that there's a lot more to a car than skid pad ratings and acceleration. It's about overall feel. But then again, you drive a mustang, which is basically a boat with a v8, so I guess you don't worry much about that stuff.
(Don't try to deny it. Mustangs are big and soft sprung. again, not a bad thing, its just the way they are.)

One of my "dream cars" is a Red 3000GT VR-4, I really want the hard top convertible but they're pretty rare though.

I have an 03 Eclipse GT, it's not like fast fast lol, but it's a nice quick car. I get a lot of compliments from girls and it's cool and all but I don't like to use my car to get chicks. If a girl likes it... cool, If not... I dont really care because I got it for me.
