or even better. The kind of songs women should sing about men like us.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcSBurP8yLs
Your love is like a tidal wave, spinning over my head
Drownin me in your promises, better left unsaid
Youre the right kind of sinner, to release my inner fantasy
The invincible winner, and you know that you were born to be
Youre a heartbreaker
Dream maker, love taker
Dont you mess around with me!
Youre a heartbreaker
Dream maker, love taker
Dont you mess around - no no no!

Your love has set my soul on fire, burnin out of control
You taught me the ways of desire, now its takin its toll
Youre the right kind of sinner, to release my inner fantasy
The invincible winner, and you know that you were born to be

Youre a heartbreaker
Dream maker, love taker
Dont you mess around with me!
Youre a heartbreaker
Dream maker, love taker
Dont you mess around - no no no!

Cold late night so long ago
When I was not so strong you know
A pretty man came to me
Never seen eyes so blue
You know I could not run away
It seemed we'd seen each other in a dream
It seemed like he knew me
He looked right through me, yeah
"Come on home, girl" he said with a smile
"You don't have to love me and
Let's get high awhile
But try to understand
Try to understand
Try try try to understand
I'm a magic man."

Winter nights we sang in tune
Played inside the months of moon
Never think of never
Let this spell last forever
Summer lover passed to fall
Tried to realize it all
Mama says she's worried
Growing up in a hurry, yeah
"Come on home, girl" mama cried on the phone
"Too soon to lose my baby and my girl should be at home!"
"But try to understand, try to understand
Try try try to understand
He's a magic man, mama, ah ...
He's a magic man"

"Come on home, girl" he said with a smile
"I cast my spell of love on you, a woman from a child!
But try to understand, try to understand, oh ... oh ...
Try to understand
Try try try to understand
He's a magic man!" oh yeah
Oh, you've got the magic hands

"Come on home, girl" he said with a smile
"You don't have to love me and
Let's get high awhile
But try to understand
Try to understand
Try try try to understand
He's a magic man." yeah ... oh ...

Music and AFC'ness in it is a serious problem for young men growing up, because music affects on such a direct level. The melody and everything lures people in and makes them more vulnerable to brain washing than other ways of spreading ideas(ie movie or book)

Computer games with afc content pose an even greater threat, combining both music and role-play and character development to suck people in. It makes me go berserk to see how much afcness there is, and it strengthened my grip to the "true one" and other bollock ideas in my teen years. Japanese Bishoujo games are especially evil in that sense, they even have porno content which the protagonist takes part in after using every possible afc method of proving himself to the girl.

I noticed all this awhile back, too. And it sucks because most of the stuff in my CD collection is actually very bad for me mentally. It's either AFC or totally self destructive.

I'm actually in the process of trying to find more quality, high energy positive music now. Doesn't seem to be a lot of it out there.

I guess if you want to go with the cliché, hardcore is probably a good non-AFC genre. It's all about "staying true to yourself" and not bowing to temptation and things like that.

AC/DC has 0 afc crap in it, some songs are degrading to women in a way like "givin the dog a bone" and "what do you do for money honey" Besides, the riffs are great too.

Forget all of your faux indie and commercial garbage. Pick up some trance from the likes of sean tyas, paul miller, john askew, tom colontonio, bissen, john 00 fleming, guiseppe ottaviani, and a lot of others. In the long run you will realize that melodic composition is far more important than lyrics.

I'm actually an established trance producer. I have a track on an Askew CD, been played on TATW quite a few times, endorsed by corsten, lawrence, A&B, etc. I generally keep this somewhat on the DL in real life though unless I'm in an environment where those around me appreciate and really understand the music. I love well produced metal / rock as well though.

Of course there are a lot of love songs and such, you gotta pick and choose. According to how this site defines "AFC", all love songs are in that category, except for stuff like, "Whole Lotta Love" by Zeppelin. Oh yeah, the girls love it when you shout out, "I wanna love you 'till the juice runs down my leg". Ohhh baby.

Gangasta rap? No thanks. Try out pretty much anything from The Dillinger Escape Plan instead.

For example, some lyrics:

"Black Bubblegum"

Got so much salt from your lies poured into me
You didn't see yourself dead already
So full of with every breath that you breathe
But you forget that in your fairy tale I'm the wolf
All this attention got you thinking that you're a queen
You think that everything you're doing isn't a dream
Long as it feels alright

I had gotten frozen by that way you walked
By the love that you gave by that look on your face
It's a coverup
I know everything

You're made for four-letter fame
Regret is part of your name
There's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

Check out your face on the wall
Like what you see?
I'm sure you see yourself oh so unique
You're just a sucker for the flame of the week
But you forget that in your fairy tale, ***** I'm the wolf
All this attention got you thinking you were a queen
You thought that everything in life you want should be free
Nothing is what you think

"Sunshine the Werewolf"

Cry your eyes bloodshot while there's still time 'cause soon it's gone and you'll be so shocked one queen-sized coffin
That was built for two is your death bed it belongs to you tease me baby please me with the fresh disease hope riding on a
Bullet alive tonight you know we couldn't get it right come save your life tonight you know we'll never get it right don't
Try to swim to shore because you can't go back say three words like they're the last you'll speak curtains drop concealing
Appearances of heaven destroyer there'll be another just like you you're not the only one I'm not the only one watching the
Fallout fly back up walking where time stands still see how our love kills dropping curtains down concealing appearances
Of heaven without my existence you are nothing without my affection you wilt we ****ed like a nuclear war release... ****
Off see how I let you down watching fallout fly back up
Dillinger Escape Plan for the win!!

Yeah, but Three Days Grace blow.

Look people, it's art. It's usually used as an escape from the daily grind. It's not supposed to give you guidance on how to live your life. Many of the artists aren't half as negative in real life as they are on their albums, but when they're down, they lock themselves up and write. When they're up, they party.

Listenting to Alice in Chains does not make you want to do heroin. Listening to blues does not make you a p*ssy. On the other side of the coin, listening to gangsta rap does not make you a badass. To paraphrase Bill Hicks, "When did mediocrity and banality become a good image? I don't care if they died in puddles of their own vomit! I want someone who plays from his f***ing HEART!"

And to the guy who mentioned John Mayer's last album, I agree. I thought it was good until I saw who made it.

I think Brad Paisley songs defines what a man should be like or should be when dealing with women.....;)

I'm Still A Guy lyrics by Brad Paisley

When you see a deer you see Bambi
And I see antlers up on the wall
When you see a lake you think picnic
And I see a large mouth up under that log
You're probably thinking that you're going to change me
In some ways well maybe you might
Scrub me down, dress me up but remember no matter what
I'm still a guy

When you see a priceless French painting
I see a drunk, naked girl
You think that riding a wild bull sounds crazy
And I'd like to give it a whirl
Well love makes a man do some things he ain't proud of
And in a weak moment I might walk your sissy dog, hold your purse at the mall
But remember, I'm still a guy

I'll pour out my heart
Hold your hand in the car
Write a love song that makes you cry
Then turn right around knock some jerk to the ground
'Cause he copped a feel as you walked by

I can hear you now talking to your friends
Saying, "Yeah girls he's come a long way"
From dragging his knuckles and carrying a club
And building a fire in a cave

But when you say a backrub means only a backrub
Then you swat my hand when I try
Well, what can I say at the end of the day
Honey, I'm still a guy

I'll pour out my heart
Hold your hand in the car
Write a love song that makes you cry
Then turn right around knock some jerk to the ground
'Cause he copped a feel as you walked by

These days there's dudes getting facials
Manicured, waxed and botoxed
With deep spray-on tans and creamy lotiony hands
You can't grip a tacklebox

With all of these men lining up to get neutered
Getting out of being feminized
I don't highlight my hair
I've still got a pair
Yeah honey, I'm still a guy

Oh my eyebrows ain't plucked
There's a gun in my truck
Oh thank God, I'm still a guy

I'm Going To Miss Her by Brad Paisley

Well I love her
But I love to fish
I spend all day out on this lake
And hell is all I catch
Today she met me at the door
Said I would have to choose
If I hit that fishin' hole today
She'd be packin' all her things
And she'd be gone by noon

Well I'm gonna miss her
When I get home
But right now I'm on this lakeshore
And I'm sittin' in the sun
I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk through that door tonight
That I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Now there's a chance that if I hurry
I could beg her to stay
But that water's right
And the weather's perfect
No tellin' what I might catch today

Well I'm gonna miss her
When I get home
But right now I'm on this lakeshore
And I'm sittin' in the sun
I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk through that door tonight
That I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Yeah, I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite
