I think this is pretty accurate assesment.

Most cops I see around seem to have the typical tough military look with the square jawline and seem to have somewhat aggressive personalities.

I would imagine MOST cops do not have passive personalities because the job does not allow it.

My roomate in college (there were 3 of us) is now a cop and he was the alpha male of the group. When he spoke we listened and he usually made all of the rules and suggestions.

It's true and it's not. Some cops are fat and slobish. The bulk of the alpha police type work north town vegas here. The others patrol henderson and southern highlands.

OK, this alpha thing gets used way too much around here.
Does anyone even know what it means.
It's a chicken or egg thing. Does that power breed alpha-ness, or does alpha-ness breed the seeker of the cop mentality.
For a cop, he must learn to ACT alpha if he is to survive, especially the big-city cops who will get eaten up and spit out if they show any weakness.

I worked in a bar that catered to cops (largest sheriff dept in the country) and I can safely say I don't think many of them were truly alpha. Sure, they were artificially enhanced alpha by virtue of of their job...but alpha at heart? Nah.

One of them got caught up in a little argument at another bar months after I stopped working there. He and the other dude took it outside and the other dude started kicking his ass. So this good alpha cop did what every alpha would do...pulled out his service revolver and shot the other dude. Alpha? Sure, whatever.

It's a lot like the guys here trying ACT alpha in order to get pvssy. Does that mean they ARE alpha?

Apparently they are "alpha"....at least in the bullying, *******, douchebag sort of way. A lot of them seem to get off by making people "respect their authoritay."

A little bitter about cops right now though...some guys I know here had guns pulled on them and were assaulted by so-called 'officers of the law' while standing on their own property. The crime? Leaving a neighbor's party. Not running, not trying to "escape," just casually walking back from a party down the street. On foot, mind you. Both were over 21 and didn't resist in the least.

Pig bastards. Good to see my tax dollars hard at work.

Actually, that video is testament to the lack of ethics and the criminal culture of some backwater countries.

Back on topic - I doubt that all (or most) cops are alpha males. I'm sure many are, but many are also just putting on a macho act when they're on the job, which might not necessarily carry over to the way they live in their personal life.

16 year olds dont go to prison. And yes ive spend a night in jail for fighting, doesnt mean I dont like them. Have you? I doubt they arrested you out of nowhere, threw you in the back of a squad car and drove you off to jail.
