I've had two women just this week contact me because I don't give them much attention compared to all the other guys. This does not always work but when it does use it to your advantage. Actually yes.

I remember watching a documentary about the original members of the SAS and there was a scene where they talked about how most of them could never think of good lines to approach women, but one guy was a natural. Courage isn't the absence of fear, but the ability to act in spite of it. Every human, except for psychopaths and people with brain damage, feels fear and anxiety, is sad when people they're emotionally invested in go out of their lives, and talks about their relationship problems. There is literally nothing wrong with experiencing those emotions. Emotions become problems when they prevent you from doing what you need to or want to do.

I can definitely imagine men of such calibre experiencing all the same emotions that the most timid AFC experiences. The difference is that they keep moving forward regardless. The key is to accept the emotion, not try to suppress it, and ask why it's there and whether it's justified. Then remind yourself of your goal, and ask yourself what you would do to further that goal if you weren't feeling that negative emotion, and then do it.
