On a side note, talking about Mexico. I see countries as houses. If I invite you to my house, you go by my rules. You cant just break in, even if you´re helping me out, it just doesnt work that way. Believe it or not, especially on the Guatemalan border, people actually sneak into Mexico. (You know you don't have sh!t when you are sneaking into Mexico.) And curiously, Mexico treats their own illegal immigrants as felons. They get the worst treatment imagineable; they have to bribe every government official they meet. The Mexican president asks the US for leniency, yet he handles his own immigration problems with solutions that are even more draconian than the US policies he protests.

Mexico's political hypocrisy aside, illegals are here to stay. As consumers we are not willing to pay the price of goods that would be required to give all workers a decent wage. How much of a wage would you require to gut chickens in a slaughterhouse all day where the worker injury rates are 70-80 percent? Crappy work that no one wants to do has always been done by immigrants or slaves for as long as this country has existed. And yes, maybe the country was built by legal immigrants, but in those days all one had to do was sign his name as he got off the boat and that made him legal. Illegal immigrants today are an essential part of our economy.

They are an essential part of the economy but the problem is that they are not assimilating and it is not being controlled. Poverty is being imported into the USA (in the form of illegals) hundreds of thousands a year and nobody is controlling it. When hundreds of thousands of poor people come into the USA they import poverty. They work low wage jobs and their birthrate is a lot higher than average. So basically you have poverty breeding itself and nobody is controlling it. You and me are not the ones that will suffer, it is your children and the children that have to go to overcrowded schools and can't get a decent education (you have that now). It is the taxpayer that pays for the jails (500k illegals in american jails last time I heard). It is the children that will grow up in a country where a large percent of the population is not assimilated.

I know most are coming to work and are willing to work for cheap and that is good for companies and good for the consumers. But you can't allow hundreds of thousands of illegals a year who not only are not learning english, are not assimilating, wave mexican flags in american streets and wave the american flag upside down. You have to controll it by sealing the border.

I knew about this a while back before it went into mexican congress. This is another reason why Mexico should be annexed by the United States. Are you joking me? HEROIN FOR PERSONAL USE?! That fact in iteself is enough for me to think that this is a horrible idea as I am VERY against heroin use. So now the corrupt Mexican police force can no longer extort tourist right? WRONG it just means they need to plant even more drugs on you and say you you're a dealer then you go to jail even longer or have to them with even more money. OH FUN!!!

And the goal of this is to focus on major distributors? How the hell are you going to flip people to find their sorces if you can't threaten to arrest them? Buyers are still the number one lead for finding and arresting drug dealers so this law pretty much drys up that source. Oh yeah this country's definately on the right path.

Strict gun laws, too

Mexican gun laws are very harsh.

There are American citizens languishing in Mexican jails
because of a single round of ammunition left in a duffle bag
accidentally.

And there are some areas where there are no fences, through
which Americans cross the border completely unintentionally.
The gringos with fully-stocked gun racks get spotted by
federales, and their butt is automatically in a Mexican stinkhole
for a very long time.

Not a lot of Americans are in this predicament, but even one
is too many if it's because of an innocent mistake.

I believe its not about not giving opportunities, its about my connationals not doing things with class. If I go to your country, I wont expect people to speak my language, I follow their laws, and am not rallying with the flag upside down, or with mine. There are processes (Laws) in place for immigration. They should be followed.
You can't pick and choose the laws that are enforced! If it isn't worth enforcing, legalize it! (But not in the middle of the night when only half of the Congress is available to vote. And not by some BS Presidential executive order!):box:
I, personally, think all the illegals should be be rounded up during one of their "demonstrations" and shipped the he** outta here! THAT SAME DAY!! Why hasn't anyone in Gov't come up with a decent plan like that yet?

We need to empty them out of our prisons too. Send 'em back where they came from.. The $$ we save for not having to support their deadbeat convict a$$es will more than pay for the plane ride back (for all of them) to their own country (Be it Mexico, or anywhere else)!

Thank God someone finally did it, and even better, they are our next door neighbors so hopefully they'll put pressure on the US to follow suit (not saying it will happen anytime soon).

The sooner we get rid of these ridiculous, "force the citizen to follow our morality" laws, the sooner the government will stop wasting ridiculous amounts of tax money and do its job.

Countries are not houses, the government is not an individual who owns all of the land and property within the borders, it only exists to protect the rights of those who do own it. In that sense, the government should only regulate the borders as much as is necessary to protect its citizens' rights, not to ensure that there is enough of a shortage of jobs for everyone.
