I do not think that things changed that much , just that the internet made this more transparent and more available

I interpreted his message as an acknowledgement of the current situation and to "seek help" not for picking up girls but for mental health reasons bcus of the very real problem of attention spamming on social media. You're not wrong. It should be standard knowledge however I'm okay with re-iterating it rather than sit back and accept it for what it is. I don't expect my post to move worlds.
