You're posting what is essentially an emotion driven editorial piece, which reads like a lit review but without any actual sources cited posted, and purporting it as legitimate scientific research and statistics. This is hardly a legitimate scientific piece. If you're going to post something where the author "quotes" all these presumably scientific sources, he needs to at least cite the ****ing sources so that we can actually look at them and examine them critically for bias or inaccuracy. He's quoting other lit reviews and sources but basically never listing the ACTUAL research paper/study names or giving us any way to actually review the sources ourselves. He's also constantly mixing in things that ARENT supported by any research and are basically anecdotal and opinions, but basically playing them off a peer-reviewed research.

If you're going to try to make the point that "cannabis causes mental illness and violence " based on research, at least do it properly.
Here are some studies you can look at.

Cannabis-impaired approximately doubles car crash risk and that around one in 10 regular cannabis users develop dependence. Regular cannabis use in adolescence approximately doubles the risks of early school-leaving and of cognitive impairment and psychoses in adulthood. Regular cannabis use in adolescence is also associated strongly with the use of other illicit drugs. These associations persist after controlling for plausible confounding variables in longitudinal studies.

Go to anywhere in the caribbean, and you will find lifelong smokers in their 60s and 70s. They don't have cancer, or man boobs, or psychosis, or anything else the government has tried to convince people that weed use causes. They gave up on most of those failed ideas to promote the "gateway theory," that weed isn't bad but it makes you do other drugs. Gateway theory has been debunked by now, too, unless you count the most recent idealogical zealots to take over the executive branch who are trying to revive it, science be damned.

You don’t think they have psychosis because you think it’s their personality.

Weed is said to lower IQ. Check the average IQ in Jamaica and check the violent crime statistics while you’re at it.

Compare that to the average iq in Africa. And if you think smoking weed makes a person violent....that was the government's claim in the 1930s..reefer madness! The truth is the opposite. Try it and see for yourself.

The state of Colorado legalized weed for recreational use in 2012 with Amendment 64 and violent crimes have been on a steady incline ever since.

Crime rate is a function of how many 18 to 22 y/o males exist within a given population. That's it, period. It has nothing at all to do with any government policy. Colorado legalized, and people fled there to avoid persecution by their own state's drug war, which included young men, thus the crime rate. You might as well cite rising housing costs as a reason to not legalize. When life gets better in one place than another, people move there.

I'm seeing a lot of bias here. I'm with redskinfan92 in that I don't become paranoid or anxious. I also have never gotten the munchies from it. I do get very dumb if I smoke a lot of it though, but it can make me more socially aware in smaller amounts, if I can keep my mind quiet

I don't touch edibles, I had a bad experience with it once, and that was it.

Yes, going by your logic, life is a lot better in Californian cities and Seattle, both places where weed is legal for recreational use.
California legalized recreational use of weed in 2016
Washington state legalized recreational use of weed in 2012

And this is the result

Coincidence?

I think it depends on the individual. Like how some people are natural when it comes to game. Me, it doesn't mess with my game unless I smoke myself stupid. Also depends on the strain, how strong, ect. Should we as djs depend on weed or drinks to up our game? I think as with anything moderation is the key.
