I don't know about the politicians themselves, but as for their constituents...well, you must not live in a red state. Romney took 70% of the presidential vote in my county, despite it being mostly democrat-affiliated and one of the poorest rural areas in the country. It is old people who vote the most, and they are the most racist people.

Get on a CB radio within range of any Interstate highway, call Obama a commie Muslim n*gger , and you will get nothing but praise from every trucker who hears it.

I tend to lean left on most political issues but I actually agree with what Danger is saying here. There are reasons to dislike Obama apart from race, and you shouldn't just assume that the reason somebody dislikes him is because he's black. That very well may be why they dislike him, but it is unreasonable to assume that is the case.
