Looking too young?

Hey guys, been reading these forums for a while and thus far have helped me out getting my life back on track and not being a bum anymore . However I still seem to be having trouble attracting female attention sometimes. I'm wondering how important looking older is, as im 19 but look far younger (probably pass for a 16 year old ). I consider myself above average looking so I don't think thats the problem.

go to a clothing store and ask the hottest girl working there what would make you look your age. women love helping guys with fashion questions.

Also grow some facial hair. I got a goatee and mustache thing going on. At least people think I'm 22-23 instead of 19.

Being young looking helps very much when you want to go out with the younger ladies. I'm going out with a girl thats 8 years younger than me. If I looked my age or older things would be a bit different.

I've been thought of as 4-5 years older than I really am because of the way I look... and I don't mind it except for when college girls/guys ask my grade haha
Don't sweat it with age though, if a girl's attracted to you she won't care how old you are.

As for facial hair.. I think there are a lot of girls who aren't too fond of hairy guys, but if you want to, don't shave and let your hair grown in a little, and take good care of keeping your face clean.

You'll look older when you get older, thats the way it works for everybody.

yea i know what you mean . i have a very young face and i'm 22 and sometimes i get this feeling that people don't take me very seriously like they're all thinking "oh he's just a kid". and it kind of makes me want to be that grown man that i think that women love. but youth is a blessing, enjoy it while it lasts......... people envy being at that age, your life is a bed of roses compared to what the older people have to go through.

i still laugh at how american guys are so worried about their age. you guys sound like women. trust me, there is a major advantage to being an expat in some parts of this world. many cultures don't hate men like america does. i always laugh at the ignorant fools who look at foreign dating sites and don't believe that 19 year olds want 40 year old men. that shows me that they need to pack their suitcases and experience life for themselves. you might be surprised at how attitudes change when a society does not view men as silly or dangerous.

what is wrong about getting older as a man? don't let american society tell you how you should feel about yourself. i should start a romance agency for you folks. i could save some souls.

anythihng can be positive or negitivie. I migt look young, but I'm very mature for my age, which is all that matters. and when I am 35 and look 25, I'm going to be very happy about it

In general its more initiating attraction with a woman is what seems to be my main problem. I watch my mates pull women in seconds while me on the other hand have to spend quite a lot of time talking to them before I get any sort of romantic response. They do in seconds what it often takes me all night, which gets incredibly frustrating.

This is what has led me to believe it has something to do with my appearance. I guess I just have to deal with it until I get older.

is it possible that your friends had some other advantage or skill other than their looks that you didn't aquire as of yet that got the women more attracted initially?

When i was 19, girls would joke and say i looked about 12. No girls for me. Fastforward to now, Im 24, look about 18 can get girls piece o piss compared to then. Its not so much looking old, its about looking old enough. If this is you, wait it out bro, you'll be good to go. I was not bad lookin either, makes no difference if you look like kid.

It is better to look younger. At 19 people all think im 17 no one has ever said 19.. And I like it because as I age ill still look young. And I have always liked younger chixs then me cuz i feel kind of immature too. So being a is an advantage not a disadvantage. Just thing is maybe won't be able to get girls your own age because they will think your too young for em ..

Yeah sounds like you know where I'm coming from lol. I consistantly get the condescending "he's so cute" line from chicks. You know when they mean your cute like a puppy is cute.
