yeah.. that's about the reaction I got too =D Got wasted last saturday so I guess the performance suffered a bit.

Todays workout

Military Presses 5x50 kg
Military Presses 5x52.5 kg
Tried some push pressing but it didn't go well.

Standing with bb overhead 75 kg

ATG Squat 5x115 kg 253 lbs
ATG Squat 5x115 Kg 253 lbs
ATG Squat 5x115 Kg 253 lbs
New record on total reps

Walk outs 145 kg 319 lgs
Walk outs 165 kg 363 lbs
Walk outs 185 kg 407 lbs (didn't walk out but I stood with the weight on the back)
(squat position)

Spent some time learnign the form on the olympic lifts.

Ahh I'm just off to school.. I'll write the first chance I get.

Todays Workout

Skull Crushers 8x40 kg (narrow grip) New Record
Skull Crushers 4x42.5 kg (narrow grip) New Record
Skull Crushers 6x40 kg (narrow grip)

Deadlifts 5x130 kg
Deadlifts 3x130 kg
(back was weak as hell today... it was sour and I couldn't lift worth ****. But I didn't want to give up)

Did some clean and jerk work and soem snatches. Here is some of it:

C&J 1x45 kg
C&J 1x65 kg
C&J 1x75 kg (old record 85 kg with pure strength)

Snatch 1x45 kg
Snatch 1x55 kg (old record 75 kg with pure strenght)

Hang Snatches 3x45 kg

Towel stretches with bar.

Very disappointed with my back but I'll be hardcore next time. Seems like I'm a little better than last time with the form. Now I am off to school. I'll reply elsewhere here when I get back.

well last time they flew up like I put 100 kg on the bar... this time it was very hard and my entire lower back didn't have any energy... it was very disappointing.. I wanted to go to 132.5 or 135 for five. :(

yeah starting up again... I guess 130 kg isn't bad for the first max out... not really maxes... took it easy... you'll get big as a house when you get healed from the wounds.

lol 130*5 on the deads just isn't good enough fs!

i was speakin to a trainer guy in the gym today about my squats, the dude said that attg is pretty pointless unless you're training for something like olympic stuff like you

apparently it puts loads of stress on the knees; what i want to know is how much my gluts will be worked by going to parallel vs going attg; the guy said it won't make any difference, what do you reckon mate?
 

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

Lol... sounds wrong man... but I was unhappy with it because it went up so easy last time. :(

I reckon the trainer doesn't know ****. ATG squats are widely known for beating the hell out of the ass. I don't have any specific data to show that ATG squats are better, I just feel that they give more beating and I think they are safer to perform for the knees than paralell ones.

Whatever people say you are doing partial reps with the squat when you go to paralell and turning in the weak zone of the lift I think is more dangerous than going all the way down and then exploding up AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT BOUNCE!

If you look at usefulness of the squat then ATG is obviously better. When moving a couch you are not going to paralell, you squat all the way and lift from there. It's the same with stone lifting. Front squats is far superior though if you want functional strength. It's up to you, if you want to move more weight in the squat go for paralell or 1/4 squats, or go all the way down.

but it does put the multiple amount on stress on the knee joints then parallel squats......when you are up to 150kg-200kg ATTG you will be popping gluccosamine as there is no tomorrow unless gifted with flexible steel joints

I should be ashamed, trainign tris twice this week. Felt very recovered though. =)

Pause Bench Press 5x70 kg 154 lbs

4 board was just too light to work from, the two board hit exactly in my weak spot of the lift. I hope on improvement in the bench. My lock out is ****ing strong compared.

As I wanted to put minimal effort on my lower back I decided to do db rows.

Wanted to find out where my max were. Originally I wanted to do 43 kg db but it skip 5 kgs betwen 41.5 and 46.5 kg on the dbs. Only last set to failure.

All over a good workout. I am hoping my back is back to its strong self next workout.

damn can't i just be injured peacefully?? i remember my rows were like 65kg and yours like 70kg and now out of the sudden you use the same weight for db rows as i for bb rows.....i miss the good old days:p ! hope for your bench improvement too man we are soldiers we never give up

Sorry :( At least its only 2 reps I did on those weights :)

I've hurt my back so we can be sorry together. :down: I hope it gets better for both so we can get back and kick up some iron.

Anyway... the story as I promised.

We arrived at my friends place and didn't have such a big time. I played super mario with some others and we ate tacos with enormous amount of cheese. Then we started to drink and I started to play super mario on hyper speed and that was fun.

Anyway, we drank some more and started to sing kareoke... my friend made a fool of himself, but it is cool, he doesn't remember :cool:

Then we went out to get our first beer. I hid a bottle of spirit when we walked into the first bar and we all had our sip. Didn't happen that much so we went to another place.

We arrived said hi and then one friend started to hit at a girl. He must have done something wrong because the guard kicked him out. I talked to my friends and we cut the visit short. I started to argue with the guard about throwing the guy out and he threw me out too. :crackup:

We continued our trip to another place but we just entered and left. My friend who hitted on the last girl hitted on some other. We went to another place again but it was closed. But a girl stood next to it so I and my friend started to talk to her. He wanted to explain what she was so he said... "you are not a *****.. but..." she got all mad and extinguished a cigarette on his neck. He just said it out of the blue.

So after some yelling at him for being an idiot we went to mcdonalds and took some food. He started to hit on some girl and a guy tossed him into a chair because he was molesting the girls according to him. I didn't care that much... but we got into an argument... ate and left...

we went to a third place and my friend started to dance and hit on girls... I hitted on a girl for fun and got rejected major.. but I just stayed and continued to talk... and talk... and talk... I was pretty drunk so I didn't care...

Anyway... later I picked up a girl for fun again and asked her to marry me... she said yes... and we talked a little.. then my friend came walking like boozoo.. and I said that he was going to be my best man... I thought that was funny... anyway... didn't happen much more.. the bar closed and we went outside...

My friend who hitted on all the girls got approached by some girls who was all mad at him... he had called her a ****ing ***** according to them and I said it wasn't so.. because it was his birthday and he had walked around all day and said... "whooooreeaaay"... of course the didn't buy it, but it was fun... anyway... my firends and I took care of our friend and we walked back home...

Sad evening.. but fun in some ways.. :up:

Cool Snap87, yeah I go to failure on each set. I didn't know if it was possible to do otherwise. It's just the latest workouts I don't go to complete failure on every set.


Some workouts:

ATG Squats 3x117.5 kg New record (aborted set)
My back was not able to handle it

Bench Press 5x70 kg
Bench Press 5x75 kg new record
Bench Press 5x70 kg
(no set to absolute failure)

4 board 4x90 kg
4 board 3x90 kg
(i have to make real boards and use... I see alot of promise for this kind of training, strength wise it is only my pecs which is lacking).

Okey, so I am back again and my back is finally a bit better.

One arm rows,.. don't remember the weight on everyone.
did a 3 on 46.5 kg db per hand at least. Next time I will finally be able to do bent over rows, probably with higher reps like 8.
