So last night, I was at a bar, and saw a girl who I've known for 10 years.

For context, I've known her since she was 18, she's now 28, and I'm 47, so nearly 20 years difference.

She's worked at my regular bar in town. When we first met, she always would give me a hug and kiss on the cheek when she saw me. She even remembers our first conversation from 10 years ago. She told me she went swimming in the ocean, and I was horrified, because in Darwin, there are Crocodiles and deadly jellyfish.

Anyway, saw her at a bar last night, sat down at her table. I gave it my shot (yes, alcohol gave me braveness!), and we started kissing. Something I've wanted to do in 10 years.

But now what? Just leave it as a once off? Last time I heard, she had a boyfriend.

I got her number. I texted her late last night, and she wrote "It felt, like I wouldn't thought it would feel".

Oh, and looks wise, she is absolutely stunning... could be a model. Probably why I never tried anything before (and the age difference)... feel like I'm punching out of my league.

It's likely that any attractive woman you deal with is going to have a boyfriend or otherwise be an insane single women that is attention horing around with no guy able to meet her crazy standards. I don't think it's that big of a deal because it's not like you are seeing a teenager or 18 year old, and you know her (for 10 years).

Personally, with me, age is just a number. However, I do note there is a generational difference. You are Gen-X (like myself), and she is Gen-Z. You think you would feel more compatible with a middle/old set Millenial compared to a Gen-Z? In that case there could be a compatibility issue down the road since the world we were brought up in, is different from the world they were brought up in so there is a different frame of reference. However that should not be a dealbreaker. There are other guys on here that have dated far younger ladies.
