In my view looks do not determine who you can fvck, marry, whatever. However being good looking is helpful in that process. An average looking guy who is a go getter will likely sleep with more hot women than a better looking guy who is very inactive. But there are even more variables than that. Some guys avoid hot chicks because they think midrange will be easier, so even a really active, fairly attractive guy may sleep with very few hot chicks. Another guy might keep a small trio around for a long time. On paper, he's slept with very few hot chicks, but in reality it was because he didn't feel any need to search.

I advise people to create a good look for themselves and project a desirable image. Physical attractiveness as in what your born with is only one component of this. Some guys try to tell themselves it doesn't matter at all to feel better. If this works for ya, great, but I don't find it a very realistic view. There's a big difference between something limiting your total possibilities and whether or not something matters at all.

Written by a guy who is either selling some sort of dating help ideas, or someone who has had no success with women. Look, I have dated literally hundreds of girls, had more gf's than I can count, and not once, repeat NOT ONCE, have any of those gf's ever said looks do not matter. In fact every one of them would talk about how hot I am, or how attractive their previous bf's were. Yes, they want a deeper connection most of the time, and someone who will treat them right...but if you think women aren't out after the same thing men are, a hot piece of azz, you are sorely, SORELY mistaken.

Let me tell you a story. One of my friends, extremely beautiful, has lots of guys going gaga over her. She had a hot boyfriend. But that guy ditched her. Now, another nice guy was interacting with her for a long time. First day, she met him. She told me, how skinny and balding he was. She was not happy with him.

After six months (now), she is marrying that guy, and she says she has never felt the same for any guy before.

Do you now get it? Looks isn't everything!

Looks is a source of conscious attraction. But attraction per se is not conscious!

Most normal people have the common sense to realize that a mans looks matters only to a certain extent. Its degree of importance to a womans attraction towards a man depends on the woman's upbringing, her intentions (LTR or STR), the environment in which the interaction is taking place, and her social conditionings from friends and family.

To say that all women place little or no importance on a mans looks is just as misleading an arguement as someone who claims that a man's looks are all he needs to get women.

You say looks do not count for men, and deny that good looks indicate healthy breeding stock that a woman might want to procreate with.

If this is so, then why do men find good looks in women so attractive?
Good looks in women indicate youthful good health for good breeding stock, and the ability to carry a baby. Obviously men cannot carry a baby, but why would the rest not still apply?
Why would women not find a good looking, healthy looking man good genetic stock for her child, and thus be attracted to him?
