His baldness (shaved head) worked well for him. He had a captivating look and personality and most likely would have done well at seduction without all his PUA strategies.
He wrote in his biography that PUA nearly destroyed him, he had a breakdown and was hospitalized.
After getting into a relationship and married model Ingrid De La O, he wrote how he struggled to build and maintain a relationship after his years of immersion in the seduction community.
The marriage lasted five years. He's the first to admit now that PUA = not so great.

Unlikely. Look at him prior to PUA. He was a guy in his early 30s with a decent status job writing for Rolling Stone. Despite his degree from an Ivy League school (Columbia University) and an above average journalism job, women still thought he was complete shiit.
Mystery and the other PUAs turned him from a zero into a attractor-seducer. Mystery did more for him than his Ivy League did for him.
He was deprived of sex from his teens until his mid-30s. Once he learned how to get sex consistently, he went far with it. It's understandable how he would feel the need to make up for lost time.
Strauss is one of the most successful PUA students of all time.
PUA was not the reason his marriage failed. Strauss has been called a major Thrill of the Hunt seducer (see below). Thrill of the Hunt guys are less well suited for monogamy than Pleasure of Sex men or even the typical normie, blue pill, AFC, beta male.

According to Psychology Today and other reputable sources, it denotes masculinity no matter what a man's reason is and a sort of 'take no prisoners' attitude.

I'm more a fan of the runway strip.

But then again, he does not come from the same background of someone swimming in that in their teens and getting into trouble. I think most Gen-Xers and Old-Millenials on here were not popular kids growing up and got into game at some point later in their lives. They all have a "make up for lost time" mindset which informs their beliefs. However, that is not where my headspace is which is a good thing about having religious values.
