So you see your girl chatting up some dudes or whatever...
Do you have to be jealous?
I mean the emotions you feel at that moment, does it have to be described as jealousy and not just anger?
I was brought up with the understanding that jealousy is synonymous with envy, does that still hold true today?
If I see my girl chatting up some dudes or whatever my feelings have nothing to do with those dudes. It could be any guy and I would feel the same way. I just don't want her building relationships with other men to reduce the chances of her doing something inappropriate. To me it's all about odds and respect.
Why is everyone so quick to use the word jealousy in cases like this, I don't wish I had what those guys have. I don't envy them, I just don't want to be disrespected in a social setting when I am supposed to be having fun thus wasting my time for example.
Am I truly jealous but in denial of it? Or maybe just not understanding the true meaning of the word jealousy?
I don't get it....
