Is a girl who brunches weekly on Sundays a red flag?

I've read some posts here where a girl who goes out on Sunday mornings to catch up with her girlfriends should have a red flag attached, but it makes no sense.

The problem is usually her female friends. There can exceptions but most will be a bad influence, carousel riders, give her bad advice, etc.

It only makes sense when you think that the Brunch gossip might result in relationship problems for you, but if she doesn't gossip with her friends on Sunday brunches, she could also do it on Saturday lunches. If they want to discuss your relationship to your detriment, they will find a time to do so.

In the UK its become popular in recent years for women to get tarted up and white girl wasted before 2pm under the guise of " brunch with the girlies"

In my city its very very common to see groups of girls done up to the 9's absolutely hammered in the middle of a Saturday afternoon

Most are usually very horny and flirty too easy pickings for any guy wanting to try his luck

I remember about a year ago I was actually rubbing a girls \|/ whilst she was complaining about her boyfriend

I said would he mind me doing this and she just laughed

I live in the UK and can confirm, in my city we often see groups of girls drunk, dressed in skimpy outfits very early in the day.

It's called brunch.. just an excuse to get hammered and have casual sex to be honest.

Yes it is a red flag. She likes to eat out and day drink with her girl friends. Does that sound like wifey material?
If it’s every Sunday then yes. Once in a blue moon isn’t bad though.
Perfectly said @EyeBRollin . That doesn't sound like wifey material and this isn't likely to be a good longer term girlfriend.

Brunch is overpriced. It shows poor judgment and poor financial management if done regularly. The woman is likely to have not so good female friends. A woman who regularly brunches is a bougie woman who is often pretentious. She might even be careerist too.

Saturday? The only brunch in the US happens on Sunday at most places.

Brunch, for one, is inextricably tied to drinking culture. Not only did the meal popularize the habit of daytime drinking, but it gave birth to several ****tails, like the Bloody Mary and Mimosa. In fact, it's attributed with spreading the now common practice of mixing alcohol with juices and other drinks. In the 1920s, during prohibition, diluting spirits with other beverages helped hide the fact that the alcohol hadn't been aged quite as long.

The new wave of mixed drinks, often centered around citrus, eventually helped shed stigmas about drinking during daylight, especially for women and members of the middle class. In the early to mid 1900s, brunch offered a platform for people to drink during the day in a socially acceptable fashion.
This sounds like a thing that promiscuous women would find appealing.

The "Sex and the City" women were going to brunches during the 1998-2004 airing of that TV show.

The SoSuave forum even had a thread about the effects of "Sex and the City" on dating culture in 2004 right as the original airing period ended.

Back to another quote from the Washington Post article...

"Cultural trends tend to go from the coasts to the center," said Farha Ternikar, the author of Brunch: A History. "The Midwest is slower on food trends with the exception of Chicago."
Brunch was bigger on the East and West coasts before becoming trendy in places like Nashville and Dallas.

Considering breakfast is one of the easiest meals to make, mimosas are just OJ & champagne, and "brunch" is one of the most overrated and overpriced deals, I think laziness is a bigger red flag than gossip girls. They can do that without omelettes.

Its no problemo untill it is a problemo. Anything a woman does :

-on a regular is hazardous. It creates the perfect opportunity for excuses to lie to you.

-with friends means you will never have the perhaps necessary influence over her.

Let's say you find the perfect girl . But she goes to brunch every damn week. You are dependent upon whether her friends are not total slvuts. If they are..you already fecked .

On top off that ,even if they are regular women you must have them on your side. How can you build anything with her if you are a dude whose working fulltime, and only has two days a week to spend with her, knowing that one day = always occupied to her damn friends? Are we in highschool?

Yes ,people will shyte on this take, call it insecure, controlling. But I've learned the hard way that these things seem innocent, untill you start to notice that it becomes problematic.

E.g : at some point you'll notice that this Sunday brunch is holy like going to church.

It basically becomes (yet another) thing that is more important than you/yall relationship.

Especially in the beginning of the relationship I'd prefer her to prioritize ME and me alone. Only exception is emergency ( family)cases. And even the latter has it limits.

And her friends will usually say that she is the problem, either way pick your poison. No bueno.
