I am thinking about joining at the local lodge... something about what they stand for just makes sense to me. Anyway, if anyone has any experiences/etc would be greatly appricated
I think the true freemasonry can NOT be "joined" so to speak. If you are important and influential, money/power/etc..., ultimately you are useful, they will come to you. You can't be like "hey look, I'm pretty rich/powerful/successful, please let me in".backbreaker said:I am thinking about joining at the local lodge... something about what they stand for just makes sense to me. Of course masonary isn't a COLT, because a COLT is a brand of beer, a gun of the 1911 variety, and also a style of watch made by breitling:wave:Masonary is not a COLT
Your average mason is just an average joe middle to upper middle class. They never get the inside on that Illuminati stuff. That is only for the super rich, White (yes there are nonwhite Masons, Prince Hall comes to mind), old bloodlines. To just about everyone else, the Freemasons is just a club no different from the Elk Lodge.Derek Flint said:Waiting for the "Illuminati" nut jobs to show up...

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

What do they beleive then??backbreaker said:Also, there is nothing to clam up about. Masonary is not a colt, it's a group of people that share the same basic beilefs about life and socieity (non religious beliefs)
Are you talking about this?Permission said:Yeah, I'm not a real mason but I know the secret handshake. It's the one where you make your hand in a fist and go on top of the other guys hand who is also in a fist.
Are you sure he was in a rush or could it have been that he did that on purpose in order to undermine the roman gods. That makes far more sense to me because back then the religions were kind of in a competition to get the most followers and what better way to bring people to your religion than saying the others God of Light is the most evil being out there?Centaurion said:Just FYI, Lucifer is the Roman Lightbringer god. The guy translating the bible from hebrew to latin was in a rush, and wrongly translated a lot of stuff, Lucifer being one of them.
Google it and you'll see.
