You guys would be surprised how much women like porn, too. Women are not nearly as visually-oriented as guys, so the genital-closeup scenes in porn are usually not their thing, but they still get off on most of it. I have watched porn with almost all of my exes. Try sitting a girl on your lap and having her browse through redtube, xtube, or a similar site. You will likely be surprised at the videos she picks out and how horny she gets from watching them.

There are many personal reasons why I want to do this (none of them has to do with religion or morals though).

I used to watch porn every ****ing day. Now I can go for 2 weeks or so, then watch one video and jerk off, then go another 2 weeks.

I didn't use to feel bad about it, but now I feel like **** every time I watch.

So yeah, I just wanted to share it with you guys, and I believe this time I'm pretty close to quitting porn forever.

It's extremely hard. I can now understand those drug users having such a hard time quitting their addiction.

Any of you have been through something like this before?
I've noticed the same thing lately and looks like I'm quitting too :)

One thing though. I don't want to quit jacking, I want to quit porn
Dude you don't have a overactive porn problem, you have an underactive imagination. As you ease off the porn, start to practice coming up with some good visuals on your own. (while your shaking hands with the unemployed)

Pretty soon you'll be able to imagine some WACKY (yuk yuk) stuff that no porn producer would ever think of.

AND as a fantastic side benefit, once you get mad visualization skills, you can use your imagination to point your brain in all kinds of goal manifesting directions.

Good idea. Porn is not reality. I think you will be more motivated and of course will stop whacking it as much. It will give you an edge. I quit masturbating about a month ago, btw, and I feel like a new man. I'm in more control of my life. A lot of chumps out there will doubt you for this, but you'll know you are better.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Lol, I don't know if it's good or bad to quit porn! Some guys say: "You should quit it! It's good for your health" then I'm like yeah that's right, but then I read a different post and it says: "No no, it's GOOD to whack to porn once in a while! If you don't use it, you'll loose it!"

Basiclly I dunno how can I MB without porn... Makes no sence otherwise right? I'd like to get a deffinitive answer that quitting MB would be healthy, but I can't find it. :p

The best would be to find a GF so I wouldn't have to worry about this kind of things. I think I'm going to slow down on MB for a month or so to see how it feels. I've been MBing for weeks every other day and I'm okay, but I guess I'd be better if I didn't mb at all!

Mb is really really good, but 5 seconds after I'm like: Damn, maybe I shouldn't have done this at all! I don't know if it's worth it, I think not... Can someone really answer that it would be better for us NOT to masturbate?

I know for sure that I feel in HEAVEN when I DON'T do it for a month or so... But I keep reading it's unhealthy??

I don't think quitting masturbation forever is a good idea. I believe masturbation in moderation is good.

This thread is about quitting porn, not masturbation.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Porn is for married men who's wives got fat and/or wont put out anymore.

Get busy ƒucking real women gentlemen. Sex is in your bedroom, not on the monitor.
Sounds good in theory, but come-on man.

Sometimes the wives go to bed too early and don't react well to being woken up. Sometime they're out of town (like this weekend for me). And, I admit, sometimes you're just too damn lazy to "game" to get it.

Yes, you "game" wives - fellows that aren't married. Though occasionally just walking in flippantly and saying, "Its time to have sex, strip your clothes off, woman!" works if you time her mood right.

You don't even need to necesarily jerk after watching porn. I can just appreciate seeing one of my favorite things, a variety of female flesh. It can be like a shot of caffeine in the morning.

Just that every time an "I'm quitting Porn" thread shows up it tends to get all the guys without a 'porn problem' to link the OP with all the sites he should reconsider his decision over.

Lol, I see what you mean. Yeah, how's that supposed to help right?

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

If I had a dollar for everytime I tried to quit watching porn....

I have mixed feelings about porn, actually. I will be the first to admit that it is an addiction for some guys, no question about it. When you try to quit something repeatedly, something you consider to be unhealthy or that truly is unhealthy, and fail---you have yourself an addiction.

I have yo-yo'ed between watching porn almost everyday, to watching maybe every couple of months since I was a teenager. For me there is still a moral aspect to it just because of the way i was raised.

I dont think there is anything wrong per se with watching straight, normal porn once and a while, but it gets dicey with the internet. The internet is insidious because you always end up seeing something you dont want to see, or something just plain fvcked up. Not all porn is made with willing participants in safe situations, and it's inevitable that if you are watching internet porn you are going to come across something messed up and, albiet indirectly, contribute to someone's exploitation. I know that sounds really preachy but the porn industry is a sordid world.

The second problem I think is access. When you have free, 24-7 access to pretty much anything you want to see, that opens the gates to going over the top. It's not a problem for everybody, but I bet you there are plenty of guys here (and in your daily life) who watch porn every single day.

Watching it once in a while isnt necessarily bad, after all you cant always have pvssy at your beck and call, but it's just hard for some to draw the line. If you cant jerk-off without watching porn I think it's safe to say you have a problem.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but when you first get into porn, its like a "hidden" thing. The magazines HIDDEN under you Dad's bed. The stuff HIDDEN on your PC. It becomes something to hide/something to be ashamed of, especially during the years when you're sexually maturing (puberty, teenage years). Sexuality is compartmentalized and hidden from the outside world . .

Eventually, is it possible that your brain connects this feeling with sexual arousal? You feel the most aroused when there is an element of it being hidden, or something to be ashamed of. The rabbit hole gets deeper and suddenly you're looking at taboo fetish stuff you'd find linked in some shady virus-filled warez site because the "normal" stuff isn't that mysterious anymore. Essentially, shame/guilt = good porn.

Of course, with this arousal comes the awful shame/guilt that hurts your self-esteem and makes you feel like crap.

I don't know how to fix it. Maybe quitting it is the right idea.

Is there a website or program that blocks all porn website off your computer for a set time limit or have to at least format your pc?
