Weather powers are pretty lame, lol. I ran out of ideas here. The one plus is you could make it sunny and mild every day. **

Teleportation would be probably the best all-around. Instant travel, instant escapes, access to places otherwise impossible. The big question is, can you take others with you? If not, then I wouldn't want it.****

** NOT! You could get perfect weather for agriculture in every corner of the world, but let's have common sense and let's not ruin the planet.
Even with limited terrain, you could create enough food to vanish world hunger.
Or you could become the richest man in the world, which would unlock so many doors and make available so many opportunities. The only inconvenience would be that time is limited.

**** Why not want it if you couldn't take others? There would be sooooo many things to do and you'd limit yourself because you couldn't take others? Sheesh.


Personally I'd take teleportation.
It means:
- a lot more time for important things (no time spent in traffic, in queues etc.)
- visiting places
- meeting any human in the world (any chick, fellas! - including when nekkid )
- exploration
- ability to change world events
- skydiving
- no need to work on stupid jobs for a living since you'd teleport yourself to shelter and food => you could make a difference by channeling your efforts to something really important
and so many others.

Give me teleportation! (please )

Intelligence at the level of a superpower, would let you invent ways to achieve all the other things. You would also figure out a way to get tons of money so you can pay for the lab and necessary equipment to invent accelerated healing, etc.

I would use the intelligence to come up with brilliant breakthroughs in chemistry, like a simple way to cure male baldness and give everyone perfect eye sight without glasses, and the patents would make me rich. The money would be enough to get all the girls I could want.

Manipulating gravity and manipulating the law(s?) of gravity are completely different things. Just like manipulating things to make a jet airplane is not manipulating the laws of physics.

Also, controlling the weather would be potentially highly profitable and probably hold the most potential for improving the lives of others. If anyone here cares.

If it's instantaneous transportation, then I'd pick that. Like literally just popping out of my current state into another part of the world in a fraction of a second would be INSANE!!!! I'd steal tons and tons of money a la Jumpers and visit everywhere on Earth I possibly could. I'd essentially commit global crimes without any chance of capture

Two schools of thought on that. You can know the future like Cassnadra but have no power to change it, or with the current understanding of physics, you'd just be making a divergent universe with your actions so you wouldn't really be saving your own or may not even be really seeing your own.

Actually, it isn't relgated to fiction since it has been thought to be a possiblity for a while. The whole idea is basically that an event has two possible outcomes before one of them is observed. When the outcome is observed, then pretty much the other has happened also but has no appearent connection to the other. I guess it comes from the fact that according to quantum physics that the more certain a person is of a particle's position, the less is known of it's speed and vice versa.

So when you see the "future", it's just a possiblity. The question remains if you're just a cog in a predestined outcome or if you can bend reality to your will?

I've highlighted the part I believe to be incorrect. My understanding is that the cat (in the classic example) exists in an indeterminate state until it is observed, at which point the waveform collapses and the cat is either alive or not so much.
