Right, so if you ate at 8:59pm it'd be okay? There's no magic time after which you shouldn't eat. Most people tend to cut carbs a few hours before bed if they want to lose weight but I doubt that's necessary for you just yet.

And yes, smaller, more frequent portions are better. Six small meals a day instead of three big ones are superior, since they keep your metabolism stoked and burning calories all day.

Part of the reason that small meals are better is than humans spent about ten times longer as hunter/gatherers than they have as farmers.

You are the ridiculous one. Everyone has a different frame.

If 165 is your right leg, then you are either one fat slob or one puffed-up roidhead freak.

How does this make it better?

Be nice to semag now, the boy needs his protein and may very well eat you if you persist.

I am starting to see what you mean about keeping the metab going, because since I have started eating smaller portions, my digestion has gone a lot better. I used to eat until i was so full I couldnt move, cause that's how i was raised, and that is what was normal for me. Now i notice that if i eat one hamburger, or something, i can still move, but i am full for a bit. Then i snack on nuts, or an apple between then and the next meal and it makes me feel a lot better. I don't get sleepy after i eat, and i just feel overall better. Pretty cool stuff. And staying away from sugar has also made me feel a lot better. I am trying to wean off of caffine to cause that screws up my sleeping routine and i am tired all the time. Since doing that i have noticed i feel better when i get up in the morning and it's easier to sleep all night. This is just after a few days. So thanks, for the advice, and I will keep up with this and get in touch if i need more help and to let you guys know how things are working out for me.

Okay, maybe you guys can help me here.

First off, at this time last year, I weighed 234 pounds, and at a height of 5'6, yes I know, that was dangerous as all hell. In the span of a year, with my new job, I've dropped down to 188 pounds. My job involves a lot of lifting heavy objects and a lot of walking around quickly, so I get a workout every day, although not a very intense one.

I've dropped from a size 44 belt to a size 40, which is already feeling too small, and my focus right now is to continue losing fat and start working on my abs. My legs and arms are doing pretty well for themselves. I eat a somewhat skimpy diet, but I don't skip meals, I have at least 3 a day. Usually there's a 6 to 7 hour period of time between my breakfast and my lunch due to my work, then 4 or 5 hours between then and my dinner. I'd estimate that my calorie intake every day is under 1000.

So there's my case, guys. I'm already looking and feeling a lot better, but I've gotten to the point where I probably need to make a concious effort at losing and gaining.

What do I do?

At your current weight I'd say just eat more regularly, quality food, and your working enviroment should do the rest.

If you can manage it, a 30 minute walk before breakfast can help but will do nothing for you if you're on such a low-calorie diet.

Try to eat every 3 hours if at all possible, in that gap for work consider a liquid meal, like mixing a source of protein with a source of carbs and drinking that, hell if they don't let you have a lunch break just go to the toilet and drink it there.

If what you're currently doing is working then stick with it! No need to make any more conscious an effort if you're making progress. If you stop losing for an extended period, only then do you rethink your cardio/diet/workout.

I've been holding at 188 for the last week, which is different than how it's been, but if it goes on any longer then yeah, I'll rethink it and try other things.
