^^^^ look, everything you are saying about her are SWEEEEEEPING assumptions. would i hit her up? no. but if i did, would i give her the benefit of the doubt? yeah.
adjunct professor means she's a part time professor. believe me, i know. she gets paid hourly, with no benefits, no tenure track, no job security, and has to sign a contract for every class. if she gets poor student evals, she's out. probably teaches one class at night. she gets paid dirt...probably no more than $60 an hour.
99% chance she has a Master's Degree.
in my 10+ years at a major (top 10) university, i have never heard of any secretary that works for a professor who calls themselves an adjunct "professor". even lowly teaching assistant slaves, who are IN THE CLASS, don't call themselves adjunct.
if you don't believe me, point here...

this chick probably read this book, lol.
and, the real definition from wikipedia free encyclopedia...
adjunct professor: someone who does not have a permanent position at the academic institution; this may be someone with a job outside the academic institution teaching courses in a specialized field; or it may refer to persons hired to teach courses on contractual basis (frequently renewable contracts); it is generally a part-time position, although the number of courses taught can vary from a single course to a full-time load (or even an overload); these positions are generally not obligated to participate in administrative responsibilities at the institution often expected of other full-time professors, nor do they generally have research responsibilities. The pay for these positions is generally very poor, especially considering that most adjuncts have a PhD. In other cases, an adjunct may hold one of the standard ranks in another department, and be recognized with adjunct rank for making significant contributions to the department in question.
my point is: you are making sweeping assumptions, and throwing her into the category of gold digging, lying, bitter, princess who claims to drink wine so as to appear sophisticated, and puts her income up because she demands that you shall make more, AND spend it on her.
