Re:
You cannot use the ills of the past, namely (the American indians/Native Americans) as justification for hordes of NEW illegals running into the country and ALLOWING it. It would be ONE thing if the illegals came and worked here and put to use the money they made BACK into the country, but to retain the ILLEGAL status, they obviously fleece the system, either living with friends/family, using cash or getting fake Id's. This is still big underground business.
And what should raise the ire of ALL, is how many millions of them there are. Taking tax dollars to subsidize their time here, while working behind the scenes or under the tables, and in many cases, sending their kids to our school. And exacerbating this fact is Bush's "No Child Left Behind", which in effect DUMBS down ALL kids to the lowest common denominator. Instead of ACCELERATING kids at the pace they individually learn, you ride along with the whole SPECIAL bus of kids. EVEN if education is free...would you as a kid, a brother, a father/mother, cousin, or friend, want a younger child STIFLING their own ability to learn because of political beliefs, or WHAT MIGHT BE IN THE NAME OF THE GREATER GOOD?
Hell fawking no! No you wouldn't. When it comes down to it, we are each individually important, and for some reason it's made to feel that if we sacrifice a little of each of us, it's better for the greater good, while only a few of the "greater good" reap massive profits, normally those who buck the trends they want the masses to succumb to.
I don't care if LEGAL immigrants want to stack as many people in one home as possible or is safe. However, I do abhor those haboring illegals who buck the system we people pay for. The same system being drained on a war, social security, fat pensions and healthcare for government officials, BUT NOT for people, on expensive drugs, on rebuilding New Orleans, and on over-compliancing America. See...people raise the BS arguement that America was founded this way...so for those who are currently here...it's ok that people who are "off the books" still usurp benefits, or worse, those on the books receive incentives that NO generations prior to it, such as your ancestors received? Come ON! Don't be an ignorant young guy with not a care in the world. Ya'll aren't that dimwitted are you?
I don't agree with much going on now, here, in our Country, but I also don't think it helps when a host of people PILE onto a sinking ship. And that's just what we have. We were ONCE the Titanic of the Planet, and now, we're just a life boat with the lower decks trying to ALL pile on and get the last remaining scraps before it ALL goes down.
See, behind the scenes, companies do NOT CARE about illegals, or subsidizing the legals, because they get incentives, and businesses get cheap labor without relocating overseas. At least today. The push is for a MORE global world, and by allowing fluid boarders, and raising such cards as "racism", they can guilt fence-sitters into joining "their" side. Sad, it really is.
You can't blame people for WANTING to come here. Most foreigners I've spoken with, America presents the best opportunities, and to immigrants who truly care about making the most of life, they're willing to risk their life for their family's. It's the system, the process of allowing them, or keeping them out. Let in whoever MIGHT want in, and make sure they're legal. That's it. Grant them an ID, book them on the books, track them, and require a solid base of English. Why is that wrong? If I go to a foreign country, I don't ask the WHOLE country to learn my language!? I learn the native language. And grow more intelligent in the process.
And if they want to work in slaughterhouses, to get established, SO be it. That's freedom, independence. If they hate it, so be it. If you migrate to a new country, does the new country subsidize your re-education so you don't work in shyt jobs? No! They take their measely $5/hr, go to the library, get a card, and learn, learn, learn, or stay behind in life forever.
I don't get the REAL issue here. And to those who think Ayn Rand's fvcked everything up, I'd actually see her philosophies make MORE SENSE in these situations. People involve too much about politics, religion, race, and nationalism that clouds BASIC humanitarium debates.
