I don't live in Naples. I did when i was a kid before moving north for awhile, but Naples is similar demographics to my area except Naples has some very rich old folks. Actually my areas median age is a couple years older.

I don't have any success with online dating or social media. I've only done 2 cold approaches and one led to a date. I'd much rather approach women in person but women are almost never alone in public. 95% of the time they're with at least one friend it seems. If I could find a place where they are by themselves I could approach confidently all the time. When they're with a friend I feel like they're less receptive to a guy approaching them. The best place I've found so far to find single women is the park but it's like 20 degrees outside where I live rn.

Most guys do not do well on online dating for a couple of different reasons. Don't worry about it too much. Become involved with stuff if you currently are not. By going to different functions you'll naturally meet women and you'll have more opportunity since you can communicate with them directly. There's always different stuff going on in your city that you can attend, sometimes it is even free. Important thing is to just be around where the women are.

What you heard is wrong. People move for financial interests. The coastal regions of the USA- California, NYC, Washington DC, etc. have positive higher-income migration and negative lower-income migration. In other words, richer people move in and poorer people move out (mostly due to housing costs). No one who can actually afford to live in California decides to go move to the middle of no where for “cultural reasons.”

Here in Floriduh we are getting a lot of people from California. However based on what they drive and look it's more middle to lower middle class people. Sometimes I'll see a wealthier looking older person.

Which is odd because Florida job pay sucks here and housing will be like California prices in a couple years except lower paying jobs.
