How people take down your "cool"!

For some reason these days, especially today....everywhere i go people pretend to hit me. This message and help is directed to all high-schoolers.

For example:
-In gym class, im waiting to play while holding onto a pole and some guy starts throwing "air" punches at me like 1 cm close but not hitting me.

-Last period, in english im talking to some other guy and im being funny around him and he "air" b1atche-slaps me.

-Even out of school when i went to some cadet activity, one of my good friends that i met was "air" punching me again!

[This problem is with guys not girls, but an ALPHA MALE shouldn't deal with this!]

And i'm not a weak nerd.....im an average guy and the person in the second example knows that i can beat him up, and the person in the last example knows i play sports better than him.

I have a hypothesis that it may be my attitude, that i'm real ****y.

Or they might be trying to take over my position in the hiararchy of "popular people" What i mean is, they realize i have social proof, they know that i can handle conversations with girls, they know im ****y, so they are jealous and want to be like me so they try to "take me down" (To be the best you have to beat the best)

Along with this theory, I read in the DJ newsletter before that guys are like wolfs. When the leader is weak, another wolf will take-over and become the new leader. This is exactly what humans do, and we accomplish this by dissing them, beating them at games, and "pretending" to hit them.

So to recap, my final question is.....
WHY DO OTHER GUYS KEEP HITTING ME !?!

Thing is, i did that in the second example.
But instead of airhitting him, i hit the guy with a pillow in the drama room and for some reason he his head recochet into the desk corner, so i kinda beat the guy up. Guess he wont air hit me ne more haha

But has anyone else experience this a lot...like everywhere you go ppl try to hit you, cuz this isnt the first time for me!

Yeah I have a friend who always pretends to beat and some times actually does beat on people. Girls....guys....dogs...babies...ANYONE is fair game to him.

One day I just made him look like a jack ass and when he got mad, I told him to go enter some tournaments because he's never going to get better by air-punching school kids haha.

dude in high school people are going to do stupid **** like that and you got to learn to live with it. just forget it and dont answer back to it. just give a smirk as if you were to say "ha very funny" or "clever" and let it go. dont let **** like that bother you in high school,the 4 years pass you by, i wish i had more time but im about to graduate and wish i let my troubles go instead of trying to get people back.

People know better than to mess with me like that. I do martial arts, and they know that if i sense any attack coming, i would swiftly block and follow with a counter-attack. I would do this just playfully, of course (but it would look cool and dangerous, demonstratng that they stand no chance against me ).
Be wary of following my example, though. I use my martial arts as a crutch to get respect due to the fact that I am short, but in no way will this affect my level of confidence.

Good luck, but don't expect a miracle. Everything takes time and persistance; gaining respect is no exception.

lol for me n my boys its a great way to say "what the **** is up?" I dont' do this, but occationally my boys do.
They feel you as competition, so they're trying to prove they're better than u i guess.

I was thinking that they were hitting me cuz they thought i was weak, but i thought about it more, and the so called "loners" in the class dont get hit cuz no body bothers with those guys lol. I agree that they are challenging my authority, but not cuz im weak....probably cuz im better

And jus to keep you guys up to date, the guy that i hit with a pillow.....and his head rochochet into the desk corner. Yeah, well he showed me his scar int he middle of his eyebrows today and it was friggen obvious! (Like a harry potter lighting ****) lmao its funny.... now im trying to be more of a leader and as LotharioTalbot said, i try to speak only when i need to and act keep my cool.

Simple, if it comes to the point where it is needed, just hit them for realy. Guys like to rumble. That is just the thing. But a really nice touch is do it as if you where joking around, then if the other guy gets cut, pay him out.

ok now that guy is pissed at me...and he keeps saying "you wanna fight" and i go like "yeah lets go" and he jus shuts up lmao...its quite funny.

Today he called me some insulting name and i pushed him int he middle of gym class. We were bout to fight but he wussed out again....probably gonna fight soon, ill tell you guys what happens
