I know it was only two dates, but I got rejected by a woman who I was attracted to and seemed like a good match on paper. The fact that I met her the old fashioned way (set up) made me even like her more, as opposed to online.

I have been depressed since Sunday night

Maybe I have a scarcity mindset, but lets face it, it's hard to meet people.

What difference does it make set up or online? I know guys who have been set up ended up in marriage and complete disaster. I know guys who have met girls online ended in marriage and 2 kids. If the way you meet influences how you behave, you got bigger problems.

I'm guessing you were too timid to make a move and try to have sex with her. Hence the rejection. But as was said, spin plates.

First remind yourself that you miss 100% of the shots you take and be proud of yourself for at least putting yourself out there and trying. I take it you are kind of new to this or inexperienced with girls? If so play it as a game. Or you got a phone number then blown off, next time you got further, went out on a date then rejected, next time a little further etc...

We were both an hour from home and it was a pool hall date. You want me to have sex in the parking lot? I did do some light kino and she did not reciprocate. I tried my best, probably could of flirted a little more but live and learn.

At Arcturus, I'm 39 bro. Not as experienced as I should be. Thanks for the possitivity.

Why did you both meet an hour away from home? That just sounds like you're setting yourself up to fail.

I hope your excuse is not that it was a mid-way point. You could easily convince her to ride with you back to your place or meet at either of your locations, depending on how those logistics are.

Nothing wrong with having sex in the parking lot either. Don't discard that option. I'm not saying go for it, but it is doable. I've done it on a second date, in broad daylight, in the mall parking lot. I know guys who have done that on first meeting girls.

You get over rejection the minute you start to pursue another girl. You might never get over regret ,though. I made a thread here months ago when I was starting out, about a Japanese girl I met twice...cold approached her in the street. Anyhow, I didn't have the balls to kiss her even though all of her body language was inviting me to do it. I still think about that lost opportunity some times...the girls I've been rejected by? Who cares.

You say meeting people is hard...and you are wrong. First thing you want to do is to join a bunch of social activities group. Language exchange meetings...cooking class...dancing...I don't know man, whatever you like to do with your free time...do it with more people! Not only you will meet women this way, you have to focus on making male friends too! Get a couple of different social groups so you have a vaaaaaaaaaaaast pool of women to meet everytime you get out with them!

Work on your self esteem. There is no way you could possibly have any feeling for a girl only 2 dates in, expecially a set up, because you both know nothing about eachother.

The fact you are depressed has nothing too do with the girl or rhe rejection. You're depressed because you have low self esteem.
Work on approaching women. Pratice. Talk to women you normally wouldn't talk too. Build your confidence up.

Not every girl is going to want to date you. When you are confident you wont care.

How long to get over rejection? To the confident man, the blink of an eye.

How long to get over rejection? Well the sting of it ends as soon as you meet someone else.
Without meeting someone else, I've felt the sting for about two to three weeks. Yeah it sucks.

How long to forget rejection? forgetting takes longer which is good as you want that reminder for next time.

Always kiss a girl on every date. If she agrees to come out with you then she wants to fcuk you.

Is it tough to meet women? It might be where you live, so travel.

True. I had a crush on girl at gym that I always thought about; after this girl, my gym crush all but diminished from my mind.

If this girl rejected me because I did not flirt/kino enough, my opinion is her IL wasn't that high to begin with. If her IL was 60% or above, she would have agreed to a third date irregardless of my "lack of flirting". Last two girls I dated prior to that; there was little to zero kino on both dates #1 and #2 and guess what? I got a third date out of both of them and made out with both on the third date.

Haha you'll learn.

Women are emotional beings, why should they wait till third date for something they want on the first date?

What that shows is your lack of confidence to take what you want and she eventually knows it. (Not putting you down)
It's not that you automatically realize she's fcukable on the third date, its been on your mind since day one, therefore you should be sexual since day one.
If she wants recurring non sexual dates, she has orbiters and girlfriends for that.

It took a lot of failings on my part to get this confidence now and the only thing I can tell you is it gets more comfortable the more you do it. The more you shy away from going for the kiss, the more intense fear you'd feel.

Women think with their vaginas.

You don't just get to a place of comfort, you create a place of comfort. IL is like a flame, if you blow the fire, it can burn a bush. If you act like her girlfriend, the fire dies.

Again read the posts I added on my previous response. Women want to be ravished, grab your balls and ravish them. No apologies.

You can't waste a lot of time on a female not returning like interest, it bleeds confidence and masculinity among other things. You should know that by now.

As long as you'd like. It's you who choose how long you're gonna let this affect you. You can let go of it now, tomorrow, next year or never. That's up to you.

Yeah I know, but like I said, it's not easy to meet people. Bars/clubs are a joke, online is for desperate cowards and gym ain't easy.
There's your problem. You are creating artifical barriers preventing you from meeting women in two very good places (the gym, online) probably because of your own inadequacies. If you suck at approaching women at the gym or online dating then that's what you need to be out there doing. Get better. Be better. Stop making excuses.

And to answer your original question, it's the time between shrugging my shoulders, picking up my phone and texting the next one.

Workouts aren't a great place to meet females, but something like a yoga, pilates or dance class is a PERFECT place. You get time before and after the long activity to lightly socialize.

In the weights area, everyone is focused on what they are doing, but you can holler outside the club.

How long to get over a rejection... with a woman you liked?

Well, I met a gorgeous girl 'cold approach' at Starbucks a few weeks back. She smiled at me, and I approached [warm approach I guess].

There was a little kino at the end of the first date [I know, I know.... i should have dragged her in the carpark... and yadeyadeya].

I had another couple of dates [drinks and dinners... played it too nonchalantly] then after that started getting the excuses that she had other plans etc. Obviously, I blew it. In my third and last text to her [after two blow-offs.... I follow a three strikes and you're out policy], I just told her to contact me sometime. left it at that.

I was thinking about her for a week or two on and off. I realized I had just stopped thinking about her when I read this thread.... and thought about her again. : (

I think it helps having other woman to pursue to soften the blow.
