How do you protect yourself in your sex life?

I have decided to go on a "whoring spree" if you will this summer. Of course the standards are alyways there, but i just decided to cut the bullsh1t and go straight to the point (sex). However, every single time im with a girl, somewhere in the back of my mind there is always "Man.. STDS and pregnancies"..

I've had sex with no condoms, i had the condoms brake and all that, so i really want to be careful.

I remember AD saying "every woman must submit her AIDS test to me"... well, today asking a girl for her STD history is a touchy topic... most girls are too scared to admit they have something..
I remember seeing a Trojan condom commercial that said "40% of HIV positive people never tell their partners." Now how fukked up is this?


So guys, what do you do when it comes to protecting yourselves? Anything you look for? Anything you ask?

Latex condoms are the most effective way of preventing the transmission of HIV. Jellies and foams don't cut it -- they may kill the sperm, but they will not kill the virus! Even lambskin condoms don't cut it -- they are more porous than latex ones, and while the sperm will be stopped, something as small as a virus (remember, they are molecular in size) can get through.

Do not use petroleum-based lubricants, such as baby oil or vaseline, with latex condoms, since they will cause the condom to weaken and possibly develop a hole. This is good advice whether you are using condoms for prevention of HIV transmission, or prevention of unwanted pregnancy!

Water based lubricants are things like K-Y Jelly, and Astro-Glide. Astro-Glide in particular is very good and can be found in most sex stores or at Good Vibrations. These are safe to use with latex condoms.

It is also important to realize that, since the semen and pre-ejaculate is left inside the woman's body that it is far, far easier for a woman to catch HIV from a man than a man to catch it from a woman, as it the case with any sexually transmitted disease!

The chances of a guy contracting HIV from a girl are significantly lower than the chances of her getting it from a guy. When a guy with HIV comes inside a woman, she might as well have been injected with HIV. (I do know what I'm talking about; I work with relief organizations and we do a lot of work in countries where HIV is out of control.) Of course there's still a chance you can contract HIV, and that chance alone is enough to warrant condoms. But there's so much other nasty stuff out there that won't kill you but will make your life miserable -- warts, herpes (it's been estimated that 20% of sexually active people have herpes!) chlamydia (sp?), yeast infections, crabs. . .

Use a condom. Always. Especially with today's technology, there's no reason not to. I prefer Beyond Seven; they transfer heat and feel like nothing at all.

Not for nothing, but this is one of the reasons I don't do the manwh0re thing anymore. Rubbers work best to prevent HIV and pregnancy, but you can totally catch herpes, genital warts, scabies and a host of other lovely things with a condom on!

I guess the best course of action is to be selective, use protection and pray that you are one of the lucky ones.

The only thing you can do about condoms if purchase bigger ones, instead of the ones that JUST fit, that way they will be less to break.

I am still shocked at the number of women that ask me not to use a condom after only a few times together. Don't these chicks understand how rampant and dangerous STDs are? Here are some reasons why they do this in my opinion:

They think that you will feel more pleasure with them than with the other women you sleep with because you don't use a condom. This follows an "old" mentality in men to prefer not to use condoms before STDs were untreatable. Condoms are much better now and STDs are much worse.

They want a better experience during sex. Lubrication can be an issue with condoms, so lube it up. Nothing is worse than a dry channel with a condom.

They want to feel closer to you, i.e., skin on skin. I think this is BS, as a woman can't possibly feel that much of a different experience with or without a condom on your c*ck.

They are afraid you are not that turned on by them. Not using a condom is a thrill to you in their eyes. This reason is scary.

They have contracted an STD and either don't know about it or don't give a sh!t about you. This is your worst nightmare. A doctor at college told me that nearly 50% of all sexually active college women have some form of a STD. He would know. He was checking out 1000s of p%ssies every year. These statistics should be better communicated by the media and health industry. I feel so very lucky I have avoided this problem despite my earlier lack of concern. As DJs, we need to recognize that dating is like walking in a mine field. You should take your time and be very careful where you step. One wrong step and ...BOOM! Game over!

Condoms are just one measure you need to take. Here are some others.
Don't get near a woman on her period as the blood provides more chance of transmission of deadly STDs.
Don't touch a woman with cuts on your fingers as this can be a channel for transmission.
Don't touch yourself after touching her (this is tough but necessary).
Wash up after sex with anti-bacterial soap on any area where fluids were involved right after.
Check out her couch when you are down there and look for bumps and herpes.

Most importantly, screen women before you sleep with them. Ask them questions about their # of partners and views on casual sex and using protection. There is no reason to sleep with reckless wH*res who don't use protection and sleep with everyone no matter how hot the chick is. Its not worth it.
