How do you feel about bars/clubs at a "mature" age?

Bars & clubs make me feel like a caged animal. It's so deafening that I can't hear sh!t and can't talk, so all communication is done at a primal level. It takes forever to get in there, and once you're in, you realise it's sh1t but you don't want to get out just yet because you've waited all that time to get in. Ordering drinks is a monumental task, and you just want to punch the bartender who has developed a God complex. Dancing is impossible (I'm a very good dancer, used to be a semi-pro performer) due to the place being super packed and you having to avoid some drunk idiots who can't dance swinging their limbs around. Nobody wants to interact with anyone outside of their group because of the noise and the environment not catering for any human interaction. Part of the reason why people drink and take so much drugs at those venues has to be because there's nothing better to do otherwise, and you can't enjoy those places sober. Now that I'm focused on my sport (powerlifting) & adhering to a strict diet, I don't drink much anymore so I have zero reason to go to bars & clubs.

Even the more intimate or classier venues are going in the same direction. They're getting noisier every week. It's like the managers are dead afraid of actual human interactions which may result in people not ordering enough drinks...

I never was a HUGE club guy, I like to dance but, ther are better places for that then a night club. I still go to bars quite often just to socialize. I doubt I ever outgrow grown people bars.

Last time I was tipsy in a club, I stood there like a dork and zoned out. I thought "what the ****ing **** am I doing here?" With the laser lights beaming across the smoky room and loudspeakers violently vibrating just a few feet away, the club scene wasn't that much interesting anymore.

I felt like my game suffered when I was under the influence.

I have no plan of coming back to clubs, but if I do, I would volunteer myself to stay sober.

In my line of work (liquor) I'm generally at a "club" 2-3 times a month for promos or a product launch, etc.. One Friday I may be at a "club" in South Beach, the next I may be at a martini bar up in Tampa. I regularly go to the Nightclub & Bar expo in Vegas, I see a variety of clubs, all with differing demographics that they cater to, so it's kind of hard to peg "clubs" as a one size fits all. I've done events in clubs that cater to a 35+ crowd (i.e. MILFs and divorcees) and I've done promos at places where it's all drunk college kids. If clubs aren't your thing, I can understand, but don't base that decision on just the 2 or 3 clubs you've happened to go to over the years. There is probably a place somewhere that you'd really like that would change your opinion.

Out of curiosity, Rollo, do you have your own brewery?

Inside her mind
I use to love bars and clubs, even before SS/Community I use to go out heavy with naturals, I guess maybe for me it was a tad different then most. When I first went out it was with guys who were really great with women, so to see them "in field" (before all this) was mind blowing to me, to see how women would act around guys with serious game.

One of my buddies was a 6'4 African guy, I didn't think he was anything special at all (I taught he was ugly) but this guy was always pulling the hotties it blew my mind.

Now a days I still go but like Squirrels I have to be drunk out of my mind to have fun. Sure I enjoy seeing all those hot hot chicks, but what's the point if they can't hear me? I have gone to all types of clubs, from Country as hell (I mean were you gotta rock a cowboy hat and all that) to clubs that are ghetto to the nine's (I mean were they had metal detectors and cops was outside on horses waiting with peeper spray)

One of my buddies can't dance for shyt, he just goes to bars, talks/talks/talks but he pulls/pulls/pulls he's been telling me for years that bars is were it's at, as I'm getting older I'm seeing the light, go to one of those bars that are busy with a nice big outdoor patio and your good(catch a hottie while she is smoking)

Just curious, Solomon. Is there anything particular that you learned from these natural guys? And especially anything different from the standard pickup stuff you read about here?

Peeper spray? Damn, the pervs must have been thick around there.
