Bars & clubs make me feel like a caged animal. It's so deafening that I can't hear sh!t and can't talk, so all communication is done at a primal level. It takes forever to get in there, and once you're in, you realise it's sh1t but you don't want to get out just yet because you've waited all that time to get in. Ordering drinks is a monumental task, and you just want to punch the bartender who has developed a God complex. Dancing is impossible (I'm a very good dancer, used to be a semi-pro performer) due to the place being super packed and you having to avoid some drunk idiots who can't dance swinging their limbs around. Nobody wants to interact with anyone outside of their group because of the noise and the environment not catering for any human interaction. Part of the reason why people drink and take so much drugs at those venues has to be because there's nothing better to do otherwise, and you can't enjoy those places sober. Now that I'm focused on my sport (powerlifting) & adhering to a strict diet, I don't drink much anymore so I have zero reason to go to bars & clubs.
Even the more intimate or classier venues are going in the same direction. They're getting noisier every week. It's like the managers are dead afraid of actual human interactions which may result in people not ordering enough drinks...
