I have a good job and the money to buy things but have a below-average wardrobe.

How can I level up my wardrobe without putting too much effort into this? Is there any online styling assistant/platform that anyone would recommend?

Hi,

I started a few months ago trying to upgrade my fashion so I can give you my 2 cents. I do not think you should pay for an online styling assistant, there is a lot of free content online. My recommendation is this guy https://www.youtube.com/@BrandonBalfour, he does have a lot of videos that have helped me a lot. Women's videos about men's fashion are also a gold mine of good tips (just take the ones that you like).

  • The first thing to do is to choose a color palette. I use the colors white, black, gray, beige, navy and light green. I stick with mostly neutral colors and a minimalist style, so I can fit almost everything with everything.
  • I do not recommend buying online, always go to the stores if you can and try it out. The best thing you can do is get clothes that fit you well.
  • Sounds simple and obvious but try to balance the clothes (i made this mistake). Do not buy like 10 trousers and 3 shirts. I changed all my wardrobe in a space of 6/7 months, started to check what you need the most or what you are missing in the overall wardrobe. When you have a good balance of clothes, try to get rid of the things you do not like and buy new ones. Sooner or later, you have a new wardrobe that you are proud of.
  • Be organized.
  • With accessories, I only use a manual watch and a necklace (silver or a gold one depending on the occasion/clothes) and sunglasses if necessary.

Why would you want to do it this way..if somethings worth doing,go all in,do it to the best of your ability and budget,or why bother ?

Do you know have a friend (male or female) that is very stylish that would go shopping with you?

Clothing items in the store are generally in three categories: “yes” (love it), “maybe” (could go either way) and “no” (would never wear that).

Only buy “yes” items. Don’t waste your money on “maybe” items just to fill your closet. It defeats the purpose of trying to upgrade your wardrobe.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Why don't you just look around and develop your own unique style? If you follow advice on places like Reddit or from influencers you're just going to look the exact same as everyone else. It took me years of trial and error to develop my own sense of style but eventually I found one that I liked and people compliment my clothes even though they're not "trendy" or anything at all.

My strategy is less is more. Rather than buying a wide variety of clothes, I opt to own very few outfits but the ones I do own are really nice, good fit/material, etc. Be patient and splurge on the best outfits you can find even if you only end up buying a handful of items, you can wear them over and over and you'll like all of them enough to wear them rather than having a wardrobe full of mediocre clothes you never wear.

The only thing I'd look into is fit. Lots of people don't understand this. Your pants should fit you without the need for a belt. And this is totally doable without skinny/slim fit which makes you look like a fag and kills your sperm.

Shorts should be around knee level and not baggy, but it's best to avoid shorts anyway unless you're exercising, they make you look juvenile.

T shirts need to fit well too. Pay attention especially to how they fit around the shoulders and sleeves. You want it form fitting with no gap on the sleeves, but not tight around the shoulders or chest or you'll look like a massive tool.

Same thing applies for long sleeve shirts. Fit is everything.

If you want some top-tier stylish shoes I can recommend you some they're like $300 but they will turn lots of heads, great for special events.

In response to the OP's question: buy GQ magazine. They have a lot of great men's fashion tips.

OP, you stay on top of it by not changing your size/frame once you get styled out in your optimal look. Don't worry too much about trends.

Slap on some slabs of lean muscle and any quality fitted clothing that looks clean will look fly and you will feel great.
I always get more motivated to dress proper when I’m staying in tip top shape.
I like to hit up Nordstrom, Hugo Boss, Uniqlo, Marshalls, TJ Max, etc.
image is your presentation card to make the bag.
Seek a custom tailor if you have to.
Don’t cheap out on anything that separates you from the ground. Bed, tires and shoes.
B!tches love clean shoes.
