As far as the OP, I see plenty of good looking guys who are out and about with less than hot women. The vast majority of men are afraid/unwilling to approach and tend to wind up with a woman within their circle of friends and acquaintances, regardless of appearance.

I've gone out with women friends who I adore, but who do not look like models, not even close. I go out every once in a while with an older co worker for example. I'm good friends with her and her husband and while I'm not interested in her sexually, we have lunch every once in a while and generally kick it. She's like one of the guys and we can talk about anything, including chicks.

So it could be anything: they could just be friends or they could be partners. Why the fvck cares, really? Live your own life.
