Heh heh, good to see all the boys over here getting in touch with their feminine side :p

Anyway, I almost never pay attention to fashion, yet turns out I've been wearing what's been described here all along. (funny thing, that).

However one thing I've been looking for all over is a good necklace that doesn't look... well.... gay. I'm thinking black chord and a charm or bead of some kinda but haven't found anything good yet...

One thing to keep in mind is that fashion isn't universal, different places have different styles, and of couse climate plays a big factor (wearing stylish shorts in Sanata Cruz right now would be good, but in Toronto? Heck no.)

I need something real strong for my hair b/c it is very stubborn. It is relatively short and I want to start having the messed up spikey look. Somebody in an earlier post in this thread mentioned "bedhead blackstick" for stubborn hair. Is this stuff hard to find? I've been in a couple places that carry bedhead but I don't see anything called bedhead blackstick. I have only been able to find bedhead stick but I'm pretty sure it's not the "blackstick". Great thread guys! Keep the tips comin!

Here's a few tips I've found useful:

Hair: if you're going a bit thin on top, there's a really good product called dermatch you can order on line, it's a paste that you put on with a brush, it covers up thin spots - trust me if you are just going a little bit thin this is a miracle. The trouble is after a certain point (which I've reached, alas) it won't work and you will just look like you paint your bald head. Dont' bother with the spray on hair stuff.

Another method I'm trying at the moment is lightening my hair, it's light brown naturally but I'm using this stuff called Beach Blonde that just lightens it a bit. This covers up thinning hair because a. blond hair looks naturally thin and fine anyway b. it reduces the contrast between the bald area and the remaining hair. It also makes grey hair less noticeable.

Teeth: for whiter teeth, cut down on smoking, tea, and coffee. Believe me this works - I cut out tea and coffee for a week (I hardly ever smoke) and the increased whiteness was noticeable. I also feel better anyway, cos too much tea etc is bad for you.

Clothes; you can get really good stuff at these designer outlets. In the States there is Ross and Belz, and in the UK there are various 'designer villages' with stuff at knockdown prices. There's also online tailoring (www.ravistailor.com) where you send off your measurements and get made to measure suits for about 150 pounds.

Tanning: my skin is deathly pale with a hint of Celtic blueness - I don't tan at all. Piz Buin self tan is excellent - it's coloured so you can see the result immediately.

Tea is not bad for you, at least Green tea isnt. It contains natural anti oxidants which help fight cancer causing agents named free radicals.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

For white teeth get CREST NIGHT EFFECTS. Its a brush on paste, it stays on all night. Ive got a couple cases of it and noticed significantly whiter teeth.

I just tried Crest Night Effects. The key to using it is to keep your teeth dry while painting it on. It took me a couple nights to figure out how to do that. What I found was that if I rolled up a toilet tissue and put it in the gums between the upper and lower teeth, it would keep the area dry. Once painted on, you remove the tissue, of course.

If you can get it on dry teeth, it'll stick all night. If you can't get your teeth dry, it won't stick at all.

The last time I read this much information on how to look good was when I read one of those chick magazines while waiting at the hair salon.:D

I disagree with your views on clothing. I know its all a matter of taste and everyone views things differently, but you're claiming that an untucked shirt and a pair of jeans will get you the most attention from chicks, which in my experience isn't the case.

Go outside and look around yourself. Nine out of ten guys are wearing jeans. Remember what you said about standing out? Well, this is a direct contradiction. A pair of jeans and an untucked shirt will make you look EXACTLY like everyone else. I tested a pair of $150 Diesel jeans against a pair of $30 Dockers black chinos and lets just say that i won't be wearing jeans when i go out anymore.

Same goes for the shirt. Get a high-quality shirt from Perry Ellis, tuck it in and watch the amount of looks you get double. This is the style of the modern-day businessman - an icon of success. Its associated with confidence, stability, power and many other things that women find extremely attractive. All while a pair of jeans may very well remind her of her little brother ;)

I've got a pretty interesting thread going about this, i suggest you check it out here.

P.S. I find all the posts saying that you should watch movies to know how to dress a little disturbing. Instead of watching a club scene in a movie, how about GOING to one? Just a thought ;)

- keep your sideburns. It's still the style on all haircuts and nothing looks stupider (in my humble opinion) than a guy who's sideburns are shaved off at the ear. Can you say trekkie?
Bit of a problem with me.. I can't grow any facial hair.. anyone know why or if I can do anything about it?

just shave every day, even if u dont have hair, it'll start growing in...and if your that young, u dont really need it yet

Does anyone know that new style where you wear a suit, and under it wear a collar shirt, but you dont wear a tie, and you leave the top 2-3 buttons un-buttoned. Then you stick out the collar over the suit??

It looks really nice, I saw it on TV, im trying to do this but i need pictures...post them if you have any!!

Here's my experience with jeans. Everyone right now wears baggy jeans and sag them. I wear jeans that are form fitting and in general may be considered tight, but with flared bottoms. Wear this with an untucked button-down shirt (white works well) and have dry spikes and shiny black shoes and you'll look very different from the average jeans guy. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it already. There was this one older woman at my office (a total MILF) who was all over me, and she even told one guy in front of me that he should stop hanging around girls because it makes him look like a wuss, and he should hang around real men, like me, and she pointed at me. Crazy.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Even baggy jeans in my opinion are way too commonplace nowadays. My experience with hot women who have a great fashion sense is that they all don't like this baggy look, and all go for the guys who wear tighter jeans. Most guys I know are too self-conscious about their bodies to wear this style, but I recommend that they get used to it. I used to not like it either, but it has definitely grown on me, especially since it seems to attract the ladies :D

Yeah, I dont really wear baggy anymore, unless im bumming it...I really only mess with button downs, boot cut jeans or slacks...Also when I wear t shirts, I wear a large and people tend to notice how swoll I got from working out...Yeah, it takes a little bit to get used to, but maaaaan its good....

BTW, does anyone have a good site for leather dress boots?

Didn't Tony Montana sport that look?

I really don't think that's a "new" style, but I agree, it sure looks tight.

I think that with the production of flared/boot cut jeans that are tighter, they should never go back to any other type of cut. Anything else bunches up at the bottom of the pant leg, which looks terrible.
