Ok, I love my new routine (thanks WBA)but. My torso is the only thing growing and not my limbs. Without a shirt I look fairly mustily and now have veins across my shoulders and a six-pack. but with a shirt on I look like a I'm a barrel with small arms(they're toned and veiney though). I can not do any fore-arm exercise because my wrists are fvcked from punching my old hard bag with no gloves on trying to toughen my knuckles. They're full of healed stress fractures. So I use spring grips to build my fore-arms.

Basically what I am asking is.

How should I adjust my routine to promote arm growth?
I was thinking more curls, dips and skull crushers before the main lifts instead of afterwords. Also more sets?

And what can I do about my small fore-arms without putting pressure on my wrists?

Guys, come on, when you're below 200 pounds building strength and size is the same damn thing.

Man, Bruce Lee's style of training is exelent for fancy, eastern martial arts. But no good for wresteling and boxing(if weight divesions dident exist).
WHAT?

Dude, this is the dumbest most ignorant thing you have said so far, and you said a few. Bruce Lee is the father of MMA and was/still is one of the strongest men ever. You should read up on his feats of strength, which by the way, are IDEAL for submission/grappling. And boxing is not about strength but technique, which requires muscle control, another key trait of Bruce Lee.
His training regimen is the cornerstone of the top strength training programs, especially for military & armed forces.

I do not even understand why you are trying to gain weight. The best tactic is losing a little bit so that you can cut down to a lower weight division and come in the day off with a big advantage in grappling (standing & ground). You sound perfect for 185 lbs class.

And you wanna look like Andrei Arlovski, well, he is genetically gifted and eats a low carb/high protein diet just to have that six pack & maintain it. He is very lean, only 235lbs, which is kinda low for a HW class. But he is very strong and quite skilled, although not top 5.
Physique means nothing in fighting arts, need any proof? take a look at Fedor (hope you know who that is). He does only calisthetics, no weights, his true raw strength comes from Sambo.

P.S. If you're taking painkillers already, that's bad. You are not going to have much of a career and only steps away from roids. Chill out on the traditional Muay Thai training, you DO NOT wanna be one of those guys.

man I absolutely worship Bruce Lee! I have his book. He is said to be the strongest man in the world pound for pound. But not the strongest man. He made the most of the body god gave him and I want to make the most out of mine.

It is because of him that I am trying to gain weight. I am not going to move my weight around to fit into a particular weight division. I am trying to become the best fighter I can possibly be. It is my opinion that gaining weight will make me a better fighter.

A heavyweight boxer will beat a lightweight boxer in most cases. This is why weight divisions were introduced.

If I lost any weight I would look like a stick insect. I would also be prone to injury.

Fedor has amazing geans. He doesn't need to gain weight/strength. He is a natural tank.

Arlovski said he has been bodybuilding since 18. Only this year is he focusing on strength training. I am almost his height and my goal is to reach his physic.

I have stoped muay thai and painkillers. Am now only training mma. I was grossly over-training before.

There is the problem of me cutting down on my cardio though. I used to be the fittest guy in my gym.

Fighting is about diversity. This is an exergeration: Muy thai works wonders for some people, but for me, BJJ is the most effective. Bruce lee was ahead of his time for fighting, but fighting has evolved a lot since Bruce Lee.

Do you train in MMA?

A few questions people.

Should I still be doing WBA's 3 day split now that my mma training has increased?

Should I weight train before or after mma?
Maybe in the mornings(preferably not though)

I train for 2 hours on Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu at 6:00pm

Fri at 6:00pm I spar kickboxing and Sat at 12:00 I spar BJJ.

I'm just lifting to look good. I hate the way I look now that I've lost weight.

I give up trying to become a heavyweight while training. I'll do that when I have a break from mma. I was getting sick all the time from over-training.

I just want to slowly gain muscle without effecting my MMA too much.

You can incorporate wba's split and a lot more into your routine, you just need time. Randy Couture said something among the lines of "the human body is incredible, but it needs _____ weeks to adapt to an increase of ______ in trainging". I'd say if you are used to your current routine, keeps wba's 3 day split.

As for mma, I would say the purpose of mma classes is the learn technique and not strength, so I would say do strength training first.

I used to think it was impossible to gain weight while doing bjj, but now that my workout techniques and diet techniques are very sharp, I see myself gaining some weight while doing bjj.

Theirs tons to things to do to increase weight gain. For example, hummus is really helping me. It has complex carbs, healthy fats, and protiens. I slather it on every thing I eat. Olive oil and guacamole is full of healthy fats, I slather it on everything I eat.

oh, go here, http://www.sherdog.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10 . With the advice I am getting from there guys, my athletic performance has gone through the roof. Its meant for you since you are a mma guy. Here are some of my fav threads.

Thanks alot man! I thought my body could adapt to it. I just have to take it slower so my body gets used to it. I was just overdoing it before.

Going to buy some hummus now.

I will go through all the links as well.
