Sounds like op needs to end it and go no contact. I used to be firm on the "in-person" method, but I would probably say now that it can be done either way. Each situation will dictate how it is done.

If I decided my current lady wasn't a good fit, I would probably tell her in person because she old school and has been really good to me. If she came out and told me she messed with some other dude, she would get the "good luck with that, don't ever contact me again" text after I got all my stuff.

Every situation is different.

You end it properly
There's a "proper" way to break up? That's like saying there's a "proper" way to have sex.

There is no law defining what a proper way is to end things with a chick. I've been dumped through text, and I'm glad the chicks chose that method. End it quick so I can move on. I've also dumped chicks through text. I'm never going to date them again, so why would I care what they think of me afterwards?

If you guys wanna waste your precious time ending relationships the "delicate" way, that's up to you. I see it as a waste of time.

Proper was merely a turn of a phrase.

It is a choice of course; however, I do question how much failing communicate has contributed to the difficulties of dating in the current age.

There’s something disheartening that ghosting has becoming such an accepted practice.

Do it the easiest and quickest way for yourself. I like text so I don't have to deal with the crying and then anger after she realizes it's final.

Don't have to worry about either over text.

As mentioned before.. If a girl was quality but it didn't workout, then the in person breakup is the right thing to do..

If a chick is disrespecting you, then she has already checked out.. You want an in person break up, with a chick who as already checked out, and gives zero ****kks about you in the first place..

Good luck with that

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

I’m almost embarrassed to say but I feel I need to grow and learn as well. She’s constantly pushing boundaries. Last night for example she told me she was staying at a “friends” house, a guy who she had never mentioned before. I told her have fun. I knew the fact she even considered staying over there, it was the last straw for me.
Yeah dude your "have fun" was good enough kiss off to her. She is admitting she is going to spend the night at another guys. That is her telling you she does not take you or the relationship seriously.

Delete all points of contact.
Do not reply to any attempt by her.
Go date new women.

If you were breaking up with a great gal who was sweet & respectful & y'all just had different goals after a year and a half? Like if she wants marriage and/or kids & you don't? That's someone you respect with a face to face conversation.

This girl who is openly disrespectful, spending the night with (screwing) other men under your nose & nonchalant about it? Like Sunday afternoon: No Class.

Dump unceremoniously via text, block on all platforms, go strict no contact and date other women.

I don't care if the sex is off the hook...she's toxic & wasting your time.
