I smoked for 5 years.
Then I just stopped, the first week is hell, it gets a lot easier after that.
Stopping smoking is just a time game, it's all about time and how long you can last, the good thing is, you get to a point where it becomes very hard to keep from smoking, but this is a wall you have to smash through and once through it, it becomes a hell of alot easier.
So if your struggling, just remember you've hit a wall, and past it, it gets alot easier.
I now smoke once in a blue moon, I can take it or leave it, for example I can smoke a 10 pack and not want another again - I sometimes have a fag with a pint, a social smoker - But I did quit 100% for about 5 years, the first week is hard, but it gets easier, until after about 3 weeks its not even an issue.
Smoking is a hunger supressent, in a way your body is craving nicotine but it's also craving food - when I fancied a smoke, I used to eat an apple - It helps.
