The shooter was Asian...rumors are saying Chinese...not a citizen, but in the US legally.
To the guy who is trying to make this about Iraq...violence there is not shocking...we all know it's dangerous there and that people die....it is a war zone.
What makes this so tragic is that these kids felt safe. They had no clue they were in danger. Trying to compare this to Iraq is like comparing Apples and Oranges...two entirely different things.
Now...the first shooting this morning occurred in a dorm where you need a resident key card to get into the building between 10pm and 10am. The first shooting was between 7am and 7:15am. Either the shooter LIVED in that dorm or someone had to let him in...either on purpose or accidentally.
The second location, the guy was supposedly "looking for his girlfriend" according to some reports. Survivors are reporting that he looked into rooms a couple of times before coming in and opening fire...as if he was looking for someone. He had at least one target in mind...probably two targets. He likely intended to kill himself and wanted to let the entire world know how angry and bitter he was about whatever motivated him to do this.
The question is...was he a crazed/obsessed stalker type, a frustrated, angry and bitter guy who felt rejected and dumped on, or was he an angry, bitter and jealous guy who felt he was justified to kill the girl and guy who he blamed for his situation. We'll learn soon enough, I'm sure. Whatever the case...everyone here should be attempting to learn something from this and do some personal soul searching to remind yourself why it's always a good idea to unpack your personal emotional baggage instead of letting it eat away at you. Anger and bitterness is NOT healthy or good for you...
