I'm just coming across this thread for the 1st time. I'd suggest to go ahead and keep her, but make sure you do some good damage accessment and see what is motivating her to do this stuff. I've never done any drugs in my life other than a toke of weed once in a blue moon, so I can't relate to why people turn to this stuff or what it does for them, but don't waste any time in getting to the heart of the matter. Personally, it would be impossible for me to take a girl seriously who was using hard drugs, or even if she was smoking pot on a regular basis(though rare use wouldn't bother me).

It sounds like you really dig her, so don't let her go easily, but make sure she quits that crap.

For me I can say that it was plump ignorance... I've never been one to knock something I haven't tried, so I tried and i liked. After my oneitis crying and beating me up and me realzing it wasn't "fun" anymore.. I stopped. Same with heavy drnking.. I never in my life have been a drunk... the only reason I don't drink heavily is because it's not appealing throwing up in a toliet at night to go to sleep

okay.. let me give you the beneift of the doubt


first of all, i really like her because she's really likable. I consider that to be a silly question. Unlike most guys who clam up with one girl after 2 dates, i've been seeing multiple women the 4 months.. until seeing mutliple women wasn't fun anymore. That's why I consider that silly. I really like her because well.. unlike the otehr women she isn't clingy,s he's in better shape than I am, she's smart, independant, sexy and all the other intangables I look for in a woman

She doesn't do crack.. goes to show how much you know about drugs... CRACK and COKE are not in the same league. Not even the same sport. Yes, you make Crack (freebase) with cocaine, baking soda, a spoon and a lighter... but what you turn COKE into is 10x more potent that coke will ever be. it's not even close.

let me put it this way.. and I will stop at this because i don't like rehashing... AFter 2 days of doing crack, there wasn't a high high enough that regular coke could give me. it's THAT strong.

Again.. like speakeasy said.. I've seen worse than people who sniff every once in a while. it's what coke leads to (herion, crack, meth) that I don't want to be around.. and considering coke is an illegal substance... why put yourself long term in a situtatoin you don't have to be in?

I know enough about the girl to make an educated decision. I know she has a college degree from University of Leeds. I know enough about her background to know she wasn't abused and her parents are good people. I know enough about her to where it would be silly, down right dumb, to let her go over coke residue.. assuming it's a one time thing

Is BB , "In love" or " in lust" or "drawn to" or "infatuated with " ..the semantics crap on page two of this thread missed the mark. It is NOT our place to tell BB whether he should be "in love " or not after 3 months or even 3 years. It is the height of DJ arrogance to tell another man what "emotions" her is ALLOWED to have for a woman. There are NO right or wrong ways for a man to FEEL ,DJ or NOT. . There are only wise or unwise ways to CONDUCT YOUR LIFE.
He can process his own emotional position all by himself, and pompous preaching to him about that issue misses the point of his post . His dilemma is simple - what to do about his discovery that his G/f is occasionally using coke.
He openly acknowledged his own drug past and his abstinence now.. Props!
So the situation now is that she acknowledges her own coke use, BUT claims that it is a only recent introduction to her life and that she has "indulged" only 5 times. She expressed remorse and, on the surface , appears to be fully aware of the damage that continued use could cause to their relationship.
She reports that her supply is one of circumstance -an opportunity which came her way via her roommate. If this is true, then it is unlikely that she is an addict because addicts actively seek out a continuation of supply. THey do not wait until it "comes their way" .Hopefully she is also aware by now of the serious implications of continued use even at a recreational level.
If I were is BB's position ,I would tell her directly that drug use by a G/friend is a dealbreaker . He is smart enough to recognise that a drug user is a liability, and I get the impression that he would find the courage to walk away if she continued to use.

Her choice is simple -fall in love with coke or fall in love with BB.

At the age of 24, BB has had many hor encounters - this 31 year old specimen has found him at a time were he is looking for more than a penis in a vagina encounter and senses a connection with her that has not been aroused since 3 years ago. It is her "totality" that he seeks from her, as we all do in a woman and; thus, this marred instance is just a flaw to be dealt with as part of her total existence! As long as this flaw doesn't override her traits that he is enamored with, he will then give her a chance to redeem herself!

We all have different parameters by which we judge for a Ltr/Marriage - frankly, I don't take seriously any woman who has fallen from her natural virgin state!!! To each his own!!
