I think penalizing them is silly.

I'm of the mind that if you gave them a fair shake once before and they failed you or were disrespectful to leave things in the past. If they come back you can assess what you want from them. If you were in a relationship prior than it is likely in your best interest to not commit to this woman. I think if your interest in her is casual and the shoe fits then wear it until it doesn't.

Anecdotally, I had a girl last year that came back after things got weird and fizzled out. She wanted to revisit, I declined politely. Why? Because I saw her on tinder shortly after the split and didn't want to waste my time on her or bring about drama, the writing was on the wall and I read it thoroughly. Not worth it, learned from past mistakes. Generally, better to invest in a new relationship in my opinion.

Ah, so I literally was doing my “check through each app tonight” ritual before retiring to video games. I didn’t know it was her (long time ago and we only fvcked twice) anyhow I did my standard opener and followup and she was receptive. After a few back and forth s she reminded me who she was so we set plans to fvck today and we did.
