I have been dating a 26yo girl for four months, who I really liked a lot. She was a beautiful lawyer, and was very smart.
A week and a half ago, she broke up with me.
One night we had plans to go out to dinner at 8pm with another couple, and then she was going to come back to my place to sleep over. I was expecting her to come to my place at 5pm so we can spend time together before we went out. She texted me telling me that she was running late, and then she asked if I could pick her up because it was raining out. I texted her back "You can't drive in the rain?". This made her flip out, and she cancelled the plans. She called me and asked why I couldn't just pick her up. I asked her why she couldn't drive in the rain and she said she didn't want to get her hair wet. I sarcastically said "oh my god you're going to get your hair wet" and then I told her to use an umbrella. This is when she cancelled the plans (again), hung up and didn't contact me for the rest of the night. (Btw, she only lives 12 minutes away)
The next day I contacted her and said we should meet and talk. When we met, she was very cold and broke up with me. She said that if I couldn't do a favor for her by picking her up, then I wouldn't be there for her for bigger things. She said her dad never did favors for her either. (She hates her dad, and went through a lot of very bad things with him that she never discussed with me). I told her that this was the first time I said no to her, and I did many favors for her in the past. I accepted that she broke up with me, told her how I felt, and politely asked her to stop texting me. I haven't spoken to her since then.
This was the very FIRST time that I ever said NO to her in the 4 months I dated her. I said "no" about picking her up because I picked her up two weekends in a row. She never drove me anywhere in her car (not even once). When she asked me to pick her up, I got a vibe that she was demanding me to pick her up (not asking me). Sure enough, when I said "no" she flipped out.
Prior to this, she picked on me on many occasions:
1. She picked on me for keeping my place too clean and organized. She said I had "OCD".
2. She got mad at me for "checking out a gay guy" and said I might be gay too.
3. She picked on me once before bed and upset me, so I left the bedroom and went into my office to go on my computer. I did not yell at her or get angry. The next day she said she was nervous that I was "going to rape her". (This is crazy because I am not violent and never got angry with her EVER)
4. She texted me not to drink soda because the phosphoric acid is bad for me. I texted her back once "Omg the phosphoric acid is eating my insides and I am dying.". She got angry and texted me back "This relationship isn't going to work out". I had to explain I was joking to calm her down.
I think the whole reason why she broke up with me is really silly. I liked her a lot and expected much more from this relationship. She deleted me from both Facebook and Instagram, but kept all the pictures of us up.
Do you think she really still wants to be with me? Should I try and get her back, or is this a fight not worth fighting?
