Do you think city center populations are declining because men giving up on dating don't feel the need to rent expensive downtown housing?

I was reading this, and it got me interested:
I was first motivated with this topic from the forum member talking about how game is different in different cities (he seems to be a prime example of someone who lives in such an expensive apartment precisely because of the urban PUA opportunities). But once men come to the conclusion that "the juice is not worth the squeeze", they look upon such spending as have a "low return on investment" and decamp to cheaper neighborhoods, if only to help save money so as to retire and start GeoMaxxing.

I think that a lot of the social trends we've been seeing are due to men giving up on dating (the major one being the collapse of the young, male labor force participation rate).

Be careful with what you read. The article doesn't define city.
It's really referring to small towns(pop less than 5000). This has nothing to do with expensive downtown apartments.

Per World Population Review:
As of 2018, there are 19,495 incorporated cities, towns and villages in the United States. 14,768 of these have populations below 5,000. Only ten have populations above 1 million and none are above 10 million. 310 cities are considered at least medium cities with populations of 100,000 or more.

So the majority of these cities mentioned have populations less than 5000. Having lived in the Midwest most of my life I can tell you that this trend is nothing new. It's been going on for 60yrs. It started when farming and ranching required more and more land and larger equipment to be profitable. Every year there are less and less people.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

It can also be from the 7 million men who are voluntarily unemployed. I empathize with “no pvssy, no work”.

No - I feel the loss of being able to afford living in some areas may actually affect someone's ability to want to date.

I have worked in the apartment industry for 25 years. The monthly rental prices are out of this world. People are not able to financially afford the rent in some areas.
Wages haven't increased but the cost of living has went way up. Utilities, car insurance, rental insurance, groceries have all increased.

Things are getting expensive. Where I live people have been moving out of the downtown and uptown area since covid. After George Floyd died the city went to shyt they burned uptown down and now it's a ghost town. All the premier restaurants have closed and people now live on the other side of the river.

But rent prices, violence, inflation and cost of living have made city life less attractive. I wouldn't be surprised if a mass exodus out of cities to Rural areas happens in full force in 2025

That sounds more like White Flight - granted, that is an important reason too, and perhaps aside from the cost, the men are deciding that chasing the poon downtown isn't worth getting assaulted, like when bachelor lions go LGTOW after losing too many times to the Alpha Lions.

Yes, the number of men voluntarily not working has been increasing exponentially especially with the 18-35 demographic.

Low Testosterone = Low Ambition.
Have you looked into why they are not working? There are several factors.

I recommend Men on Strike by Dr. Helen Smith, Sexual Utopia in Power by F. Roger Devlin, and Men Without Work by Nicholas Eberstadt for anyone who wants to know.

Along with the quality of the water, the reliability of the fire department, the number of first-rate Thai restaurants on hand...

Are we really shocked that the quality and selection of women in a town like Las Vegas is light-years ahead of what one finds in Montpelier?

Ahead in what way? My brother lives in Vegas. I would not recommend it for ordinary men.

Because they are perfectly happy to stay in their Mom's basement and do nothing with their life because they have no ambition to do or be anything.

Sleep til noon, play video games, smoke weed, stay up all night, jack off to porn.

No job, no responsibility, no ambition.

It's honestly pathetic, and the parents are enablers of their behavior by allowing it.

There also was an article that came out a few days ago that talk about how Gen Z employees are getting fired at an unprecedented rate, many times a few months after being hired. The lost generation.

Employers only like to hire young workers because they cost much less in health-insurance.

The US government, who've made it remarkably easy to get on disability, have also exacerbated the problem
