No, don't worry this isn't going to be a thread advocating going to bat for the other team, lol.

What I mean is that we all (myself included) put a lot of time, thought and effort into women because we want to sleep with them. However if it wasn't for that I'm not sure if I'd even bother with girls at all. Compared to my male friends I have to say that the women I know are generally much less funny, less interesting, incapable of self deprecation, more prone to ramble on pointlessly, more superficial, more prone to melodrama etc, etc.

So, apart from the qualities that are related to our desire to want to have sex with them what do you like about girls?

You will be criticized if you state this opinion publicly, but IMO you are correct. A smart woman can provide some insight, but overall I would rather share the company of men then women. To find a cool girl who you can be with and not grow bored is the challenge.

Sure, but isn't that just because of the sexual frisson, the flirting, etc. What if the girls whose company you enjoy were all really ugly?

I'm trying to find out what it is, sex aside, that we like about girls. Generally I have to say I find them incredibly dull. When I go on a date I don't expect to enjoy the conversation, it's just something to get through until we get to the good part of the evening.

We just want women for sex really.. think if you had a girl around you alot BUT they never flirted with you, never had sex never nothing... all they did was talk and talk and all that girly stuff they do..I don't know about you guys but i have a short fuse when girls start to talk alot, in my mind i'm always like OMG stfu already.. I agree completely. This only hit me recently because, having come out of a long relationship, I have been dating a lot in the last few months. All I can think when they're talking is please won't you STFU. I have to drink copious amounts of alcohol and endlessly smoke cigarettes just to cope with the tedium of the situation.

Of course some are worse than others. One South American girl I dated could go into monologues that would put Shakespeare to shame (in length not quality). The only thing that got me through it was thinking about ****ing her later on in the evening (she was great in bed). I still don't think it was worth it though.

I find women easier to talk to. I like the goofy sense of humor they often have. They don't seem to have the constant need to dominate people around them.

For any reason that I'd want a guy friend, a girl could do everything the guy could. Not all girls talk and talk. And I've met some chicks that kicked my ass and every other dude in videogames.

I'm actually struggling with the reason why I'd want guy friends at all.

Guys, it doesn't have to be black and white. Most guys put up with BS because they will jump if she says "sex"

but there are cool women out there, I mean some chicks do experience cool things and travel and have hobbies..and everyone can teach you about something, no matter if it's pig raising or laying concrete.

I guess I can say when I am with women, it is harder to just let go and say whatever you want - I do it a lot more than others imo, but there is always that "don't fvck this up because you want to get that pu$$y" in the back of my mind.

Amazing, am laughing at the movie thing - I refuse to watch films with girls these days because they'll just talk all through them. They seem incapable of devoting 100% attention, whether it's music, movies, conversations, etc.
