This theory about not masturbating...where is the supporting literature for your claim? I've read a book about hormones, and the peaks and troughs of your testosterone levels throughout the day vary, depending on many factors.
It is true that your testosterone level drops sharply after orgasm, and it may remain low for a period of hours or days afterwards. But do not confuse semen (fluid mixed with sperm) with the chemical hormone testosterone.
In behavioural terms for both genders, male and female, testosterone makes you sexually aggressive (go out looking for partners), makes you want an orgasmic release, makes you competitive, and it also, paradoxically, promotes the desire to be alone.
On the other hand, the female hormone estrogen makes you sexually receptive and gives you a 'glow' that appeals to members of the opposite (or same) sex who are out looking for it. See how the two behaviours complement each other?
Now, levels of both hormones are at their highest during our late teens and during our twenties. When we reach 30-35 (on average), levels drop off slowly. In women, their testosterone balance may then increase, making them more sexually aggressive and wanting orgasm. This is mistakenly what the referred to as their sexual peak. But it is nothing of the sort. They have simply shifted from being receptive to having babies with a long-term partner to behaving more like men. naturally, they still want babies during their 30s, because the clock is ticking, but sexually, most women become more aggressive. Women who lack sex drive, especially after having kids, are usually prescribed...yep you guessed it, testosterone therapy.
How does a DJ raise his testosterone levels? For both sexes, but generally men, the following works: regular exercise, winning a competative event, being successful (think corporate execs, rock stars, movie stars, etc), winning a fight, having a sexually attractive girlfriend, sexual stimulation, etc. These things may drop your levels: losing a fight, being unsuccessful in life, masturbation (a temporary drop!!!!), regular alcohol intake, obesity and poor eating habits.
While I enjoy reading DJ tips, I think each one of us should do even more groundwork to know the biological differences between the sexes. Hormones affect behaviour, that is a simple fact. Specifically, read up on the sex hormones (especially how a women's monthly cycles affect her behaviours and receptivity in public to advances) and you'll have some great knowledge about the 'big picture'.
