All of you that do Creatine are retards.

Once you stop doing it, you have to wait for your body to reproduce it.

You feel like crap.

Plus who knows the long term effect of this stuff.

Is it really worth being a little stronger?

Obviously you don't know what you are talking about. Your body will not stop reproducing it. How do you feel like crap? If you think this stuff is dangerous than I guess people should stop eating fish and red meat seeing as how creatine is found in them. I honestly do think it is a waste of money though.

The biggest gains I've ever made were with creatine. But hey, do what you do.

you do not feel like crap after going off creatine. that's BS. It's been out for like 15 yrs so i think we'd know what the long term affects would be, if there were any.

Although i will admit it'll make your acne worse if you have any.

Why do you think some supps are cycled? Because your body becomes dependant. You shouldn't need to cycle it though.

Arguing that we should stop eating red meat because of creatine is absurd because when people supplement with it, they take ALOT compared to what is in food. The equivalent of eating 2 1/2 pounds of fish twice a day to get the 5G twice a day needed to get just a maintanance level with creatine.

*Shrugs* I don't take it because I am unresponsive, but some have different reasons, no?

Your better gets used to creatine being supplemented, that it stops producing it and relies on your own supplementation.

Eventually it produces it again, but the time that doesn't you are so weak at the gym.

i'm not an expert about creatine, but from what i know it's true that your body stops reproducin' for a while if u take massive doses... at least, that's what my biology and chemistry teacher told the class yesterday... and i think it makes sense

I have to be honest, i have not found conclusive evidence either way

what i will say is remember your biology teacher and chemistry teacher may not have any idea what theyre talking about either. they might, and either way are probably very intelligent, but from my experience they still have a set curriculum which is often dictated by the popular and uneducated opinion of parents and a school board. The school board would not be comfortable backing something like creatine.

Im definately not saying youre wrong here. Im just not sure those are the most reliable sources. You may very well be right, so please dont take it as a personal attack

my other reason for suggesting just banning him and closing this is that he sounds like an idiot spouting off, which is not what a good forum needs.

well i guess i have one more thing to look into huh? :) lol

I must admit, the last time I cycled off creatine, I almost passed out from exhaustion. Besides that, I still kept the strength that I had gained.

If I need to dig it up, I will, but each pound of fish has about 2G of creatine in it.

Creatine is in fish, that doesn't mean it is there is any sort of huge numbers.

I tried using creatine once. Granted it was crappy stuff that was cut with lemonade but it still soured me on it.

IMHO, creatine is a waste of money. The only supplements I would consider using would be a good multi vitamin, supplements are only good if you are at or nearing your peak. Heck my best friend is a massive powerlifter, and he just started to use protein powder a few months ago.

Creatine does not need to be cycled. The idea it needed to be cycled was because people believed it contained some sort of steroid cycle.

While steroids may permanently damage the body's natural ability to produce hormones, creatine supplementation only suppresses natural production during its supplementation.

I'm on effervescent creatine and dont need to take any "rest cycles".
However I do.

- Yes, it is correct that no-body knows the long term effects of creatine. Also dependence on supplementation sounds to be true. However- If it makes you stronger , who cares?
Just keep taking it.
