Even so, several women at Tulane expressed to me their sense that the gender ratio left them with fewer options, in sheer numbers and in the kinds of relationships available to them. Emma Roberts, who graduated from Tulane in the spring, told me she discussed the problem in her gender-studies class. “I think everyone’s consensus we came to was that it’s pretty disgusting trying to date,” she says. “Because the reality is you’re not likely going to find someone that wants to date you.”
On the evening I met her in early July at an outdoor cafe near campus, she and two friends spoke frankly about their frustrations with dating in college. They characterized the straight men at their school as “picky” and “****y.” All three felt they had settled too often — that by the time they left school, they were less confident about what they had the right to ask for in a relationship.
my opinion: I feel like my whole dating life has been the mirror image of these chicks.

“They discussed the problem in their gender studies class”

Therein lies their problem.

This rightly should be an immediate reason to run as fast as you can. At best it’s hours of petty squabbles. At worst it’s a rope allegation.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

As a current college student, I will say that it is not easy as it looks. In my experience, only half (three-quarters on a good year) of the females available are actually attractive enough for me to entertain the idea of talking to them, and campus social life has low participation. Shared classes, extensions of friend groups and club meetings are about the only viable way to meet campus females. If you like banging fat chicks, then tinder or bumble set in the radius of the campus is a guaranteed lay, but at what cost?

I am willing to bet these are women who think they qualify for a relationship with a guy way out of their league who is willing to bang a lower tier woman in a dry spell but never be seen in public with her and she automatically thinks that is what she "deserves" for a relationship.

Simply they are unwilling to see the difference between reality and their view of reality.

Of course women are more ambitious, more focused, more educated, than ever. They can get a man anytime they want with the snap of the fingers.

I wonder what the height and hair requirements were on that survey.

These lopsided gender ratios in college don't seem to matter much. A good portion of men 18-29 are sexless.

In colleges that are 60-65% women, the women still reject the majority of men.

Let's simplify with an example.

A college has 6 women and 4 men. All 6 women only want to have sex with 1 man and maybe some will settle for the 2nd man. 2 men will be completely shut out of the sexual marketplace, 1 man monopolizes, and 1 man might get something. That's college today. At least 5 of the 6 women get laid, typically by the 1 man monopolizing the market. I've summed up college sex there.

I think my college was 55 percent women! Howevers again only a small amount of women are "hot."

Also key is what classes you're taking. I was a business major and the business classes had more men. Thr girls usually took those bs fluff classes like psychology, sociology, and other liberal classes. I took a few for required electives. The woke bs in them was hard to stomach through.

The problem both men and women who struggle at dating have is at best an incorrect and at worst delusional idea of their SMV and what the other gender values.

Entitlement gets you nowhere, irrespective of gender unless you legitimately are that famous/good looking/rich and on legit people entitlement is STILL a turn off.

I’ve never struggled at dating ONCE I LEARNED WHAT MATTERED. And I learned it very young, in college. No problem since then.

Remember. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over….and expecting a different result.

The colleges I was evaluating were all around 52-53% female in the early 2000s when I was making the decision on which college to attend. While I did consider male-to-female ratios, it seemed to be an irrelevant factor in my college decision.

I ended up at "Hot Girl U".

This is true. STEM classes would be sausage fests. Business classes might be close to 50-50% now with women now 60-40% on the average college campus.

Liberal arts/social science classes would be more female than male.

General education elective classes are some of the best class options for doing approaches and finding dates.

When i went into engineering the reported ratio of the incoming engineering class was almost exactly 80 percent men, 20 percent women.

any women i dated in college weren’t engineers. When i graduated and worked at an automotive engineering company the number of women was even less than 20 percent

That seems like a HUGE waste of money going to a college just to see girls.

It's OVER for EngineeringCels.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Men are not attending post secondary anymore, it's quite alarming actually, yet in their Gender Studies class all they can think about is "I can't get a boyfriend"

You cannot make this stuff up, simply incredible, even under the guise of gender studies its just a focus inwards

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.
