Cheapest bar drinks?

So I went to a bar yesterday and ordered a rum & coke and the damn thing was $5.

What are some cheap drinks where I can get a buzz going? Unfortunately I don't like beer.

If you want to save money buy a bottle of vodka and pre-drink before you go.

Otherwise all drinks are same price. Rum and coke or vodka red bull etc are exceptions to regular drinks prices, i wouldnt drink them unless splashing cash at an important venue.

Beer is manly, dont be a female. If you really dont like it, cider. Fruit flavoured drinks are strictly homosexuals only.

I don't go to bars that often so I was a little surprised about the cost. If I take a chick to a bar with me it's going to be about $20-25 just in drinks.

Pre-drinking seems like the cheapest way. Though unless I can get the chick to come to my place first, (which means no point in going to the bar) I'll end up getting more buzzed than her, which may not be that bad.

$5 seems average for a mix drink. You might find some drink specials occasionally. If you want something other than the well expect $8-$10 for a better liquor

Join your local Moose or Eagle lodge. These fraternities are a great place to make new friends, meet women you would not otherwise meet, and drinks are dirt cheap. My Moose lodge charges $2 for anything and everything behind the bar.

I used to work in a bar, and the premiums are ridiculous.

When I used to drink, we'd drink at someone's place then head to the bars. Limit yourself to 1-2 beers at the venue, unless it's a special occasion.

Don't forget the tip as well. Tip well the first drink and you might find yourself getting stronger drinks or a free one every now and then. I typically give a nice tip with the first drink and either some change off the others or a decent tip my first and last drinks.

I always try to pregame as well. One time I had a few drinks before hand and was gonna stick with redbulls when I went out. I bought a couple redbulls and tipped well and ended up getting a few free shots that night from the bartender. (Guess they aren't really free if your tipping a bit extra, but you get the point.)

Just order a coke or something and make yourself a double/triple. You can also drink them by themselves somewhere out of the way, but they can get warm and nasty just hanging out in your pocket.

One-shot mini bottles of liquor are cheaper, but bulkier.

Those are pretty cool. I think I just may check those out.

Just for the hell of it I went to a dance club earlier tonight. They were having $3 mixed drink specials before 10:30. They weren't bad but two drinks wasn't enough to make me feel anything.

I just want to get buzzed enough so I can have a good time. Next time I go out, I'm going to bring a cooler.

Used to do this when I was underage. You can typically buy small little 1 shot bottles at the liquor store for a couple bucks. Just order a coke and pour them in. I don't recommend appearing this cheap when your out with a woman though.

Pre-gaming doesn't really help when your going out with a woman either unless she's down for it, which is typical in the college scene. A couple drinks before hand and driving might be ok if you are the type that is used to that, but to be safe take a cab or have a DD.

Only way you're getting cheap drinks is by sneaking in your own. Same goes for sneaking in your own snacks to the overpriced movie theater.
