I started working a sales job when I was 17 in my senior year of high school... I still think it was the best decision of my life.
Not only do you learn social skills to the fullest extent, but you also learn 90% of the business tactics you're going to need in the real world. My sales job was like my college for me. College is more like a vacation than something to prepare me for life.
3 Years later, I'm in college with my own company.. I owe it all to getting into Sales.

If you’re a good DJ then you should be a great salesman…
The concepts of selling yourself are exactly the same because people buy products if they like the person too… the drive and motivation to resist knockbacks that DJs must also possess is key for sales because sales is never a 100% success rate…
But yea… the attributes that DJs learn are of great use in sales and life in general… as long as you realize that there is more to being a DJ than C&F…

and there are AFCs like bill gates who will always always be an abject failure in terms of DJ GAME but he's the richest man in the world.

bill gates is AFC. napoleon was AFC. there are all kinds of UBER SUCCESSFUL MALES in the history of the world who not only were not DJ but not ALPHA!
as i've said elsewhere, ULTRA COMPETENCE or even EXPERTISE in a given area CAN MAKE YOU RICH. but such skill says nearly nothing about how you rate on the AFC - DJ scale.
most people here just have a ridiculous difficulty in saying that bill gates is AFC simply because they equate success with alpha and djness....
but the nerds in math and chess club in high school, these guys end up doing spectacularly well in certain fields.

there are tons of guys, tons of AFCs whose problem exists in ONE AREA ONLY. they have their lives together, they are successful and good at what they do.
but... they can't get chicks to save their lives.
confidence in one area of life does not automatically or necessarily translate into another.
also, supreme confidence combined with absolute incompetence is one of the most entertainingly hilarious things you will ever witness.

The fact of the matter is...it is extremely difficult to elevate your social status from that into which you were born. College is the best bet, combined with a lot of hard work and a lot of luck.
Even people who go to good universities and have top professional jobs are still only considered upper middle class. Small Business owners are considered Lower Middle Class as a rule. You CAN be a millionaire when you are old, though...if you start putting $1 a day into a Mutual Fund from the time you are 18.

If you're lazy you will never be rich...sales is considered lower middle class as well. I'm studying social class and stratification in Sociology right now...well, last week. Tomorrow is my final. The top prestigious job in the US right now is lawyer. It's ranked higher than even a doctor. However, being a lawyer requires a lot of college. Better hit the books now.LAWYER said:

Why is he a failure? He is married to a woman that is loyal to him. A woman that turned out to be the "CORRECT" woman in the essense that she has not divorced him and taken half of his fortune. A woman that literally supports his goals.Delta said:
