I saw it of course... I was worried at the end, I thought JT was trying to give the fight away, but that 11th round saved his ass.

However, it's apparant to me that JT still has alot of work to do.. BHOP 5 years ago would have wipped the floor with him.

JT for some odd reason, let's his left hand hang, leaving him open for all types of jabs.

In that fight he seemed to respect the ablity of BHOP a little to much.. to scared to dicate the pace, , and it almost costed him the fight.

He needs about another 6 months/1 year before he is ready for Winky Wright, ,because if they faught tomorrow, I honestly don't think JT will win. Winky is far more technically superior than JT.. JT seems a tad bit stronger and bigger and about the same in quickness

I hate shane mosley.. don't ask me why, I don't like the way he looks, the way he fights, his uncalled for arrogance

Mosley had the nerve to say he was thinking of fighting Mayweather on the LIttle Rock local radio show Thursday evening.

The sad thing abut the fight last night is BHOP actually thinks he won. Besides the first round, which you could go either way, BHOP didn't do jack until the... 7th, maybe 8th round.. and he tried to crank it up like he said he was, and everytime he did JT would catch him with a stiff jab.

The only rounds you can say for sure he won was probably the 8th, 10th and 12th rounds

Yeah, JT won it the way I thought. I knew it would be close, and BHOP would come on again late, he just has nothing early, he needs to warm up.

BHOP would have stopped JT a few years back.

JT has a lot to learn, and will probably end up being stopped by a straight right over his sloppy jab. He holds his left way too low for someone without great foot speed and reflexes.

I think however, he might go alright against Winky, that is considering Winky even beats Soliman. If he takes him lightly, he may be upset. Either way, he aint winning the fight by a shutout I dont think.

Mosley, that guy is one of the nicest in boxing. He is awesome. Not arrogant at all, he just talks a bit to trump himself and his fights up, but that is natural in boxing. In day to day life, you couldnt meet a more down to earth, nicer guy. He is definately known as one of the good guys in boxing.

A fight with him and Mayweather at welter would be huge, and a lot closer than a lot of people think. Mosleys punch output has risen again, at welter he is relatively big, he is fast, and he has some good skills. I would take Mayweather by a points decision, but it would be close.

BHOP is a joke though, the guy just cant admit he is old and past it. Everyone else can see it, why cant he? His rediculous ego!

Clooney that makes sense obviously. It just seems like a right cross follows the jab, hence a 1-2 combination. A straight right seems to be a lead punch. Is that correct? In other words I though the difference was that the right cross follows the jab, and the straight right is just a single punch. I haven't really seen anyone use a right cross as a lead punch.

I thought the BHOP Taylor fight could have gone either way. I actually thought Hopkins was going to get it at the end, but I can't say it would have mattered either way.

Where do you put Taylor on the P4P list Clooney? Its an interesting question because before they fought each other, Hopkins was mostly on everyones number 1 or number 2 spot pound per pound. Now that Taylor has beaten him twice, nobody seems to give him the same respect as BHOP had.

I hear Oscar signed a deal to fight Ricardo Mayorga. I think this is a dangerous fight for Oscar and its one I wouldn't have taken. The reason is because Tito Trinidad already took Ricardo Mayorga apart and he isn't held in the same light as he once was after beating Vernon Forrest. But still Mayorga is a dangerous fighter, who you will have to literally kill in order to stop him. We saw that against Tito, Mayorga who was beaten up as bad as I've seen anyone kept getting up and the referree had to stop it.

Is Oscar really ready for an all guts in fight like this?

Hey Jayer,

Yeah, a lot of the time, you can throw the straight right as a lead, but this is dangerous, make sure you have speed if you want to do so. You can however, also use it after the jab. But yeah, a right cross is not thrown as a lead.

I dont make P4P lists anymore, as they are way too subjective. For example, how do you rate Mayweather P4P? He is probably the best in the world, but at 147lbs, is he the greatest? He has only beat Sharmbe Mitchell at that weight, nothing compared to what other 147 champs have done. I only use P4P lists to compare careers in an all-time perspective.

I also think DLH V Mayorga COULD be close, if Mayorga establishes his strength. Otherwise, I could easily see Oscar taking him apart in this fight. It is a very interesting fight though, considering the style matchups. DLH will not however, have nearly as easy time with Mayorga as Tito did.

I do agree however, it is a stupid fight, one DLH should not have taken. The Mayorga stock has gone down after the Tito deomlition, however, Mayorga is still a very live dog in this fight!
