I read both stories. Unless I'm missing something I can't find one example of a good samaritan coming to anyone's aid with a bunch of witnesses there and getting sued or going to jail. You just gave an example of he said/she said because the victim was unconsious and confused. But we are talking a situation where there were other witnesses there as in the video. I said to give an example when the good samaritan steps into help as in the situations that were showed on videos. Where witnesses were there but they still got jailtime or sued. We were discussing the situation on these videos.

There have been situations where the victim has been confused as to which person hurt him. But I never heard of one where witnesses and jury implicated the guy who did the right thing.

By the way, I don't fight people just for the hell of it. Where did I say I did? I fight for what's right. If someone is bullying me or if I saw it done to someone else who is innocently being hurt I would help and not be a coward. What do I get out of it? The fact is some people don't always help others for what they get out of it, but simply because it's the right thing to do. Otherwise, noone would help anyone anywhere . This thread is disappointing. John Galt and Call_Me_Daddy are sensible, rational people using facts and logic to present an opinion.

ricorico is a 14-year-old guy who just watched Rocky and needs to remind everyone how tough, cool and proud he is. he has yet to sensibly answer any question or present an argument, its just emotion-filled jibberish and petty insults.

OBVIOUSLY we would all like to see the situation resolved peacefully. OBVIOUSLY we would all like to help the weak and be crowned a hero.

rico is relying entirely on abstract thought and "theoretical" approaches to present a moral argument. Older, wiser people have (unfortauntely) seen this kind of sh!t go down in real life.

The bottom line is that you have nothing to gain by jumping in. If I were there, I would have left quietly pretending I didn't notice (so his friends dont think Im going to call the cops and try to stop me), and perhaps called the cops anonymously if that's possible.
