sellery burns fat because it uses more calories ot digest then it gives you. Other then that im not sure how food can burn fat.
I have never tried them so i could not say whether i know they work or not, but i have heard many claims online saying its all a scam. i have also heard of creams that can suposidly burn fat, in a localised area, seems quite a large claim to make when the fat is stored under/in your skin but not above your skin!
Please do explain how these supplements work.

Since they yanked ephedra from the supps, most of them are less effective, to the point where cost/benefit isn't there.
I've talked to quite a few guys who used to own nutri-stores and sport-supp stores, and their main sellers and most effective products are the ones now banned: pro-hormones and ephedra based products.
The #1 product was lipodrene (sp?) which essentially mimiced what prescription fat loss pills could do, but was all natural. The prescription drug maker sued the supp company and has stopped supp production, FOR now. These companies are lobbying to come back, but until ephedra does, I don't see any value. Those companies pitch it like they're great, but ephedra was the best acting agent which enabled fat loss during fat catabolising periods.
There might be other ingredients or products, but I don't know of them. Can't say I'd drop $40 on them to test them out. They might give you energy and suppress your appetite, but beyond that, fat loss won't continue while you're walking around (though fat is burned during low intensity exercise, so some will).

Ephedrine. As long as you do not exceed the recommended dosage, you'll be fine. More is NOT better! Most people who suppliment with it take one before morning cardio and one around lunch time, and that's it. It's also common to combine with caffeine pills and aspirin, making what's called an ECA stack. If you're going to do that you should take 25 mg ephedrine, 200 mg caffeine, and 325 mg aspirin.

An ECA (ephedrine-caffeine-aspirin), or only EC, is the best fat burner out there. The rest is probably bs.
If you are going to do ECA, I strongly suggest that you do some research on it.

I've read that coffee does not work for fat burning. You need to use an actual caffeine suppliment for ECA (or EC).

When on it, I don't have any urge to eat really, for a good 4-5hrs.
Which is good for me, cause I work in the nighttime, and so getting to the gym can be a b!tch on my schedule.
Other than that... I agree with you all on Ephedra being the best fat burning agent out there. I'll look into the EC stack, even though that sounds a lil tweeky to me.

Caffeine, is pure energy, and thus your burning more calories, just being in that 'high' energy state.
Thermogenesis, is when your body heats up, thus burns more calories. A lot of these supplements utilize certain chemicals, and natural ingredients to enable this. Cayanne Powder, Green Tea, etc.
Appetite Suppressants, like Hoodia do exactly that.
Guggelsterones, which stimulate your thyroid, which in turn controls your metabolic rate.
I've heard a lot of compliments and praise towards Lipo-6.

I'm currently using Grean Tea Extract pills, which are pretty good, in the sense of caffeine. Keeps me awake, and energetic. Which in turn makes for more calories burned. Haven't been on them for long, so I can't give a valid opinion over time yet.

The problem with appetite suppressants is that they have a tendency to make you lose muscle as well as fat unless you force feed yourself. If you fast for too long, your body becomes catabolic and starts to consume your muscle for nutrients. This is part of why it's important to eat 5 or 6 smaller meals a day instead of the customary 3 larger ones.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

DarkLight, Lipo-6 is not bad at all. There have been some very good reviews of it on bodybuilding.com.
Diesel Test is also a good option. Although it is more of a testosterone booster, it will aid in fat loss and boost your energy levels. (Its NOT a pro hormone either)
Most other "fat burners" are a waste of time when you consider what you pay for them.
The old hydroycut, with ephedra, was a winner though

Appeals to me, in that it supports the maintenance of Lean Muscle mass, through its thyroid elements.
Do you know any word on the new Hydroxycut (w/o Ephedra)...?

Have not used it myself, but the reports on it have not been great. My gym partner used them a while back, not as part of his rip, but more for energy during his workouts when he was struggling.
He said that they helped with his energy levels, but without the calorie restriction and upped cardio, there was no way to measure its fat burning effects. When you look at the ingredients, there are other options that are a hell of a lot cheaper.
Ephedra is the **** if you can handle the jitters though.

Just checked out your link, and I don't know about using a hormone booster, right now. I'm 25, and my hormones are plenty blazing. I could only imagine what something like that would do to me.

EC is where it's at... the E you pick up online will have a bronchodilator in it tho, because it's sold as an asthma medication. Just make sure that's cool with you.
Jitters from EC will only last you a week or two, then they should be gone, but don't up the dosage. You should probably take it no more than twice a day, with the second time around 3PM or so at the latest, otherwise i could see it cutting into your sleep. Also watch out for the addictive effects of ephedrine.
